Because I’m all about treating myself…
Last year’s list was a little shorter but definitely not as fun. I actually only ended up getting one thing on that list but you guys know how much I love Restorsea, so that definitely wasn’t a bad thing. This year I’m really feeling the whole being grateful/zen thing that everyone is all about now and, admittedly, I have been seeing a big difference just from doing 20 minutes a day of light meditation and one day a week of breathe work at Unplug (also obsessed). Funny enough, I started saving links for this blog maybe a month or so ago and MANY of the items are now SOLD OUT. I mean, what the hell? I’m glad the economy is booming and everyone was out buying for Black Friday and Cyber Monday but I really wish I could’ve nabbed that Diptyque Advent Calendar I wanted from Net-a-Porter for the meager price of $390. If you’re one of the lucky ladies to receive this, please brag about in the comments section.
Ok I digress, still bitter about that advent calendar). Here’s my “Dear Santa” list for 2015.
What’s on your list?
1// Adult coloring books: I’ve been reading articles lately about how coloring has some pretty amazing relaxation benefits for adults. And since I always enjoyed coloring as a kid, I’m willing to give it a shot! Underwater and cats seemed appropriate for me 😉
2// Peter Thomas Roth Mask-A-Holic Vault: Since my newest thing is face masks (here, here and here– more to come), it should be no shocker that this “vault” is on my list. The collection of five of Peter Thomas Roth’s most popular masks to detoxify, repair, hydrate, and polish skin is, for lack of a better word, awesome.
This set includes:
– 5 oz Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Gel Mask: good for aging!
– 5 oz Cucumber Gel Mask: good for soothing and hydrating dry, irritated skin!
– 5 oz Pumpkin Enzyme Mask: good for dull, aging and congested skin!
– 5 oz Irish Moor Mud Purifying Black Mask: purifying, decongesting, and hydrating with odorless Irish moor mud to draw out dirt, oil, and impurities as it infuses skin with moisture and vitamins.
– 5 oz 24K Gold Mask Pure Luxury Lift & Firm Mask: a lavish, pampering treatment that helps to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
3// The Five-Minute Journal: I haven’t written in a paper journal since the summer I backpacked around Europe after college and, even then, I wasn’t that into it. What intrigues me about this journal in particular is that it flat out says FIVE MINUTES, which means it won’t require hours of contemplation or a ton of extra work for me to do…cause no one wants that. Apparently this journal helps with cultivating gratitude, something that will benefit anyone, and it’s been proven over and over again that shifting your focus to the positive can dramatically improve your happiness.
5// Coach Animal Wild Beast Luggage Tag: This was one of the items that actually sold out…BUT, luckily for all of us, I found it on sale at a different site. Not sure how that’s possible, but I’m happy about it. This luggage tag is a really cool leopard design that looks like the leopard spots are “dripping” in an artsy kinda way.
6// Paul & Joe Beaute Holiday Makeup Collection: Paul & Joe infamously makes the cutest cat-themed beauty products around, but they also infamously are always limited-edition and sell out quickly! This set is miraculously still in stock and I LOVE it.
7// Hungry Root Almond Chickpea Cookie Dough: I discovered Hungry Root a few weeks back via Instagram and I honestly really love their meals. What’s even better than their meals? This Almond Chickpea Cookie Dough. Guys, I’ve never really been on the “let’s replace dessert with vegetables and nuts” bandwagon but I SWEAR TO GOD that you would never know these cookies were made from almonds, sweet potato and chick peas. Full disclosure: I’ve never actually even baked them into cookie form…I just eat the dough, which is perfectly safe since it contains no eggs- rejoice, vegans! (60 calories for 2 tablespoons).
8// Miansai Rose Gold Modern Screw Cuff: I’ve been eyeing this bracelet for over a year now since I have a similar bracelet (here). There’s something just so chic about the Miansai line, and I can see myself starting to collect these a la Kylie Jenner and her Cartier love bracelet stack.
