An Abortion Rights Giveaway…

products for Abortion Rights Giveaway

Because abortion is health care…

I was in New York visiting my family when the news broke about the draft overturning Roe v Wade, and a loss for words is an understatement…

I’m not going to spend time here lecturing you guys on why this is wrong, a travesty, and a detriment to not only women but men as well.  If you’d like to learn more about the impact overturning Roe v Wade will have on individual states, The Cut published a great story listing out the current state of affairs state by state (I.e. some states only have ONE abortion clinic WITH Roe v Wade).  The article also links to local abortion rights organizations where you can donate, which brings me to this blog post…

I, like a lot of you reading this, feel really, really helpless.  My heart breaks for the next 15-year-old who will now be forced to have a child because she didn’t know she was pregnant until she was seven weeks (*in most states).  My heart breaks for the rape or incest victim in Florida who will soon be forced to have the baby that was forced upon her (yes, it’s true- Florida’s abortion law will make NO EXCEPTION for rape, human trafficking, or incest).

I want to help.  I feel so lucky to have grown up in New York where we learned about condoms and safe sex in a school where abstinence wasn’t preached upon.  Also, I feel lucky to now live in California, a state where the governor has vowed to protect our rights permanently.  But, again, what about all the women in other areas of the country?

Today’s giveaway…

(worth $841!)

Ok, so here’s how it’s gonna work.

1-) Go to my Instagram feed

2-) Like and comment on the giveaway feed post

3-) Donate to the linked non-profit.  I decided to choose The National Network of Abortion Funds (due to the fact they are credible and work with IG).  That said, if you’re looking to donate somewhere super local, I highly recommend Chelsea’s Fund in Wyoming. I’m calling out Wyoming specifically because 96% of Wyoming women live in counties with no abortion clinic. In March, Wyoming passed a trigger ban that would outlaw abortion five days after the Supreme Court overturns Roe.

4-) I will choose one winner (anyone who donates a minimum of $10) at random on May 13th. U.S. residents only and age 18+ (for legal purposes).

On a side note, I also wanted to say thank you to everyone who has been reading my blog, listening to my podcast, subscribed to my newsletter, and followed me on TikTok!  I love you guys and I know together we can make a difference here. <3

Here’s what you can win for donating to an amazing cause (it’s also tax deductible!)
