Best beauty gifts, as told by beauty bloggers!

So I’ve been toiling over this question: if I had unlimted funds, what would be the ULTIMATE beauty gift to give my loved ones?  The answer?  Well, I turned to some of my favorite TotalBeauty bloggers for their top picks.  I have to say, I want pretty much everything that they listed (as expected) and I’m sure you will to.  Enjoy!

HomeSpaGoddess.com loves the Clarisonic PLUS Skincare System.

KraseyBeauty.com: “My pick is the Make Up For Ever Aqua Eye Collector’s Set.  With 25 of the most amazing liners, there is so much to love.”

Girl-Woman-Beauty-Brains-Blog.com: “The luxurious and scrumptious Jo Malone Pamper Kit, which includes Pomegranate Noir Bath Oil, Body Creme and Body Powder.”

TheStylePage.com: “Bond No. 9 New York Bon-Bon Box, which contains 18 Bond No. 9 fragrances in pocket spray form wrapped in foils to look like candy!”

FabOverForty.com: “My ultimate beauty gift would be the Bobbi Brown Black Plum Beauty Trunk filled with beauty goodness.  It’s $1,000 this year!”

Bionic-Beauty.com: “YBF Skincare – All their facial serums/treatments are amazing.”

SickaThanAverage.com: “La Mer has some amazing gift sets –the Signature Collection is a nice one since it includes a travel-sized Creme de le Mer, Lifting Face Serum and Eye Concentrate.  It’s the kind of gift anyone can appreciate, regardless of their age, personal style, etc.”

Gift Idea: Tom’s of Maine travel size products (your eco-friendly dad)

So my Dad is super manly and doesn’t like any frills when it comes to toiletries (he won’t even allow me to refer to his products as “beauty products”) so when I came across these fab travel-friendly products from Tom’s of Maine, I knew I had found the perfect gift for my padre.  He recently retired and has already paid me a visit in LA so I know the fact that these are all under 3 oz. will come in very useful.  What did I pick up?

Gift Idea: Sneak-It-In Disposable Flasks (for your broke booze-bag friend)

So we’ve all done it.  I’ll be the first to admit that I brought a flask to a frat party or two in college and had absolutely no qualms about it.  What’s fab about these disposable flasks is that if you need (or want) to ditch them when you’re done, you can.  It’s pretty annoying having to carry around an empty flask!  Plus, you get THREE for $15, which means that you will be very popular with your friends. 😉

Gift Idea: Wall-mounted fish bowl

So I’ve been wanting to buy one of these for myself since college and have never gotten around to it.  I love the modern, clean look that this Wall-mounted fish bowl brings and it’s a really great way to keep a fish if you don’t have a lot of space.  Hint: small apartment or dorm room.

Gift Idea: LUSH Wiccy Magic Muscles (for the athlete)

So I just tried out the cult classic, LUSH Wiccy Magic Muscles bar and I’m completely obsessed.  As someone who has constant neck pains due to a pinched nerve (can you believe it?), I’ve found that the there are very few products that actually help relieve the pain and tension.  Up until now, I’ve been relying on Tiger Balm and a memory foam neck pillow but now, thanks to LUSH, I’ve discovered a new cure.  The ingredients make total sense: cinnamon will warm things up, peppermint will stimulate sore bits and the aduki beans will massage in like little finger tips to loosen knots.  LOVE this and it’s a perfect gift for the athelete in your life.

Gift Idea: Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt’s book “How to Be Famous”

So you’ve probably heard about Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt’s book, How to Be Famous: Our Guide to Looking the Part, Playing the Press, and Becoming a Tabloid Fixture.  I mean, there are no words.  I haven’t actually bought a copy of this book but from the Amazon.com summary, I automatically thought this would be the PERFECT holiday gift for your celebrity-obsessed friend or wannabe actress friend.  Hilarious.  Here’s the Amazon summary:

From braving the wilds of Los Angeles to the Costa Rican jungle, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt have learned a thing or two about reality…television, that is. But while dominating the airwaves and tabloid covers every week may look like all fun and mind games, Speidi is here to tell you: becoming wildly famous requires hard work and a no-fail blueprint for success. Now, for the first time ever, Heidi and Spencer invite you behind the scenes as they reveal the ten-step plan that took them from nobodies to notorious! You will:

  • Learn how to say I hate you without opening your mouth–Heidi’s exclusive tutorial
  • Increase your capacity for evil with Spencer’s “Villain-o-meter”
  • Discovery why getting and talking about plastic surgery is a must
  • Unlock the secrets of celebrity couple math (e.g. Speidi > Heidi + Spencer)
  • Mesmerize the media with outrageous behavior
  • Bow down to the power of the paparazzi

…and much, much more!
