Nyx Cosmetics Decade +1 Unveiled party at The Hollywood Roosevelt

So on Tuesday night I attended an a-mazing event at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel Pool for Nyx Cosmetics.  The makeup mega brand was celebrating their Decade +1 Unveiled anniversary and held a truly Hollywood glam event.  I brought my friend Brittany along for the ride as we sipped grapefruit  “nyx-tini” cockails by the pool, sampled Nyx Cosmetics and watched Carmen Electra get her picture taken.  For me, it was a perfect LA night…combine the pool at The Roosevelt and makeup and this girl can’t get any happier.

New Blog Alert: BottleServiceIsForTourists.blogspot.com

So this blog isn’t exactly “new” but it’s new to me.  BottleServiceIsForTourists is a hi-larious blog about the ups and down of Hollywood nightlife.  As a newcomer to LA, reading these posts make me chuckle and yet also sort of guide me on places to be scene and NOT be scene.  So far, I agree with all the advice I’ve read on this blog.  Just sayin…this is my fave article and, for the record, I am not a “weekend warrior.”

A night at Bar Marmont

So I went out a few weeks ago with the fabulous Nadine Jolie and she took me to the famed Bar Marmont in Hollywood. I immediately fell in love. We walked in, sat down in the “cool” room and Nadine told me to turn around…who did I see? Jason Segel. I’ve lived in New York my whole life and have never seen as many celebrities as I’ve seen since moving to LA. It sounds super dorky but I really get a kick out of it. Jason left soon after and that’s when I saw an actor from one of my favorite shows EVER. The Office’s Kevin. Now yes ladies, I realize that he’s no John Krasinski but come on. The man is funny. We proceeded to chat after he asked me why I wasn’t home watching his season premiere (it just so happened to be THAT Thursday) and we snapped this really awful picture with my iPhone.  The iPhone needs a flash!
