OBSESSED: Black & White

I’ve always had a thing for the combo of black and white when it comes to fashion but this spring, it’s honestly just been EVERYWHERE, which is fab.  I had a black and white-themed 30th birthday party, had a mini BFF black and white birthday dinner and, now, I find myself wandering around the interwebs in search of my next black and white purchase…it’s a sickness.  Here are my latest favorites:

1. Milly Kiera Clutch: Probably the ultimate go-to clutch that will match almost anything.  I need this.

2. Tarte Cosmetics Buffy Bamboo Face Powder Brush: As you know, I’m obsessed with all things packaging when it comes to Tarte, and this b&w makeup brush is no exception.

3. Dorothy Perkins Deco Dip Dress: A b&w dress never, I repeat NEVER goes out of style and this particular dress is not only cute…but also under $60.  Seriously.

4. Rosegold Zane Woven Booties: At first glance, I had mixed feelings on the heel of these babies…but after a few minutes, I become a fan.  I love the woven chevron and would wear these with jeans AND with a bright colored dress.

5. Z Gallerie Zig Zag Frame: My apartment is already very b&w and this frame will fit nicely into the mix, and at a decent price.

Z Gallerie Zig Zag Canvas Bag: I love a good chevron, especially when it’s black and white and perfect for day time.  I want this tote for the beach, especially since it matches nearly all of my bikinis.

Epicuren Pumpkin Apple Spice Peel: Pumpkin is fall, let’s face it.  I recently tried this Pumpkin Apple Spice Peel and it’s pretty fantastic.  You can actually smell the pumpkin and spice in the product and my skin was left feeling really refreshed.

Greek-Key Mirror: I’m in the process of looking for a some mirrors for my living room and this key-patterned version just might be a winner.

Pumpkin Gnocchi with Brown Butter Sage Sauce: If you aren’t already reading my friend Felicia’s food blog, you should be.  She cooks (and also Instagrams) the BEST, I repeat BEST, food ever.  Gnocchi is one of my cult favorites so this fall version is next on my to-do list.

Z Gallerie Aquamarine Zig Zag (aka chevron) Frame: Chevron is so happening right now and I love the way this aquamarine (my birthstone, by the way), is subtle but still super girly.

Essie nail polish in “Skirting The Issue”: Oxblood is on trend for fall and, of course, Essie launched this dark red in its fall collection.  It’s the perfect red for fall!

House of Harlow 1960 Engraved Snake Double Finger Wrap Ring: I got this amazing ring as a gift (c/o L’OREAL) but it’s no secret that I love all things House of Harlow 1960 AND double finger rings. I can already tell you that it’s gonna be a fall staple.

Spiked Oreo Milkshake: I recently went to Go Burger for the first time with my friend John and he convinved me (ok, it didn’t take much convincing) to try their AMAZING spiked Oreo milkshake.  What can I say besides OMG?  It’s just brilliant.  I adapted the regular Oreo milkshake recipe with THIS recipe, which includes the booze.

BEAUTY:: Kiehl’s Rosa Arctica Eye: I love, love LOVE Kiehl’s (especially their Rosa Artica moisturizer) so when they announced the new Rosa Arctica Eye Cream, I simly HAD to try it.  The results are fab; the skin around my eyes feel super hydrated and, with time, should appear firmer and smoother.

HOME:: Z Gallerie Zig Zag Rectangular Tray: I’ve been trying to find the perfect serving tray and I’m really into this black and white chevron version from Z Gallerie.  So cute and chic.

FOOD:: Williams-Sonoma Truffle Salt: I discovered the art of the truffle a few years ago after trying the truffle french fries at Delicatessen (you would die for them), so when I realized that I could actually buy my OWN, I went nuts.

FASHION:: Alexander McQueen Oxblood Whipsnake Knucklebox Clutch: Oxblood, though it has a really gross name, was all over New York Fashion Week and I LOVE this clutch.  Clearly, I’m not going to be buying it any time soon (at the lovely price of $2,395) but a girl can dream, can’t she?
