Guys, I’m going on my first vacation in FOUR YEARS in less than a month…
One word: TULUM. If you’re not familiar, TULUM is a city in Mexico about an hour and a half from Cancun (I know, spraaang break) and I couldn’t possibly be more excited to get away for a few days in March. To prep for my trip I’ve been reading some of my favorite blogs (AHouseInTheHills.com, DesignLoveFest.com, TheStripe.com and AVintageSplendor.com) and getting some TULUM inspiration from photos from their own trip and Grace and Annette even emailed me some fab suggestions.
Have you guys been? Comment and let me know where to go/eat/play!
Right now, here’s our list:
Restaurants:
- Hartwood (everyone and their mother has recommended this place)
- Posada Margherita
- Casa Jaguar
- Casa Banana
- Gitano
- El Tabano
To Do:
- Mayan Ruins
- Cenotes (snorkel inside them)
- The town for shopping, drinks, etc.
- Coqui Coqui for massages and a cool perfumery
I’m so excited for you Jamie! You are going to love Tulum. I wish I could sneak in your luggage and go with you. xx Annette
LOL. That would be amazing.
There is a Spanish School in Tulum so people can have a learning vacation in the morning…beach vacation in the afternoon!
What a cool idea- thanks, Sherry!

I had the opportunity to travel through Mexico and visit several cities such as Tulum, Cancun, Mexico City and Cuernavaca, where I found a wonderful Spanish school.
The school was really beautiful and pleasant and what a nice setting to learn!
