A few Fridays ago I was invited to spend the day in Malibu with Carrie Underwood, to help celebrate the Spring/Summer ’17 collection of CALIA by Carrie Underwood, her athletic/athleisure clothing and accessories brand. After a vigorous ocean-view workout (hence the #NoMakeup photo after the jump), a vegan lunch and chatting about how we’re both off the hair extension bandwagon, I was able to ask Carrie about her line and all things fitness motivation. Side note: I saw Carrie do an insane amount of push ups (not on her knees) when we working out, so this woman is LEGIT… (more…)
Aside from the fact that I’ve been meaning to try Manuka Doctor for awhile, Kourtney Kardashian is their global brand ambassador and I’m always fully honest when I admit that I LOVE to watch Keeping Up With the Kardashians, and I have no shame about it. Kourtney teamed up with the brand after she posted on social media how much she loves Manuka honey, a main ingredient in Manuka Doctor’s products, and for good reason. Manuka honey’s moisturizing properties help visibly revitalize as well as keep skin hydrated, assisting with moisture absorption and retention, as well as visibly increasing skin’s elasticity and overall texture. Anywho, here’s what the reality star had to say…normally I ask THREE questions but Kourt only had time to answer questions while taking selfies in the Kardashian-favorite photo booth, so I had to keep it quick.
A few weeks back I got invited to attend the Tone it Up Retreat (an event people fly to from all over the world, btw) and then, naturally, I threw my back out a few days before…so I had to drop out. My luck, always. Normally I don’t get very excited about the idea of exercising but I’ve been a big fan of Katrina and Karena for a few years now- I find them both to be super genuine and, most importantly, NOT cheesy or annoying AF. My sarcastic New Yorker-self does not do cheesy and annoying (especially when it comes to doing something I don’t exactly LOVE to do). I think the moment I realized these girls were legit was when I was watching/struggling to do one of their YouTube videos and Katrina made a comment like “yeah, I’m dying…this is super hard” it was then I was like “ok, you get that this sucks!” and I’ve been a #TIUGirl ever since. Here’s what my favorite YouTube trainers/business badasses have to say:
P.S., this ended up being four questions with, mostly because I love K&K and their answers are just as amazing as they are.
A few weeks ago I was invited by Damon Braces (Bethany is a spokesperson!) to a SurfSet Fitness class to “surf” with arguably the world’s best female surfer, Bethany Hamilton. You probably know Bethany as the pretty blonde surfer girl who survived a 2003 shark attack that took her arm, but that didn’t stop her from winning several world champion surf competitions (you probably also know about the movie based on her life, Soul Surfer – a.k.a my guilty pleasure movie- but that’s a different story).
What intrigued me most about meeting Bethany is how she hasn’t let the attack make really any kind of change to her life/the life she was supposed to lead. That’s impressive, in my book…aside from also have THE most perfect shade of natural blonde hair I’ve ever seen.
Jaime King is a former model (hello, does anyone else remember seeing her on MTV’s House of Style?), mom and sunscreen advocate…which makes me love her even more. I got the chance to interview the actress while she was at a Neutrogena Long Live Skin event as an event ambassador and I’m excited to share what she has to say about all things sun and more.
Last week I got the chance to sit down the beautiful (seriously, she’s gorgeous) Eva Mendes to chat all about her new beauty line and, of course what advice she’d give her 22-year-old self…here’s what the superstar mom/business woman and Mrs. Ryan Gosling had to say:
Because you’ve seen her all over your Instagram and Snapchat, unless you’ve been hiding under a rock…
It’s not surprising that the most influential stylist in the world (seriously, ask The New York Times) launched her own hair care line, but it is surprising (at least to me) that after using her products in my hair, my blow out lasted THREE FULL DAYS. Guys, that NEVER happens for me (see blow out photo after the jump). Aside from the amazing scent of OUAI products, I am now officially obsessed with the quality and how well they work. Naturally, I had to ask Jen three questions…ok, FOUR in this case, cause she’s awesome, and here’s what the stylist to the stars has to say.
