90210 senior prom vs. Beverly Hills 90210 senior prom

I think it’s officially safe to say that when it comes to the battle of the 90210’s, the original will always win.  You see, the CW network is smart and they used the former stars (Jennie Garth, Shannon Doherty, Tori Spelling, etc.) to lure us original fans in and basically get us hooked…and it worked.  However, when I watch the new episodes lately, I find myself saying “god, where the hell is Kelly?!  Your sister is MANIC.”  And here in lies the problem.  I’m really just so over 90210 2.0…and last night’s incredibly boring senior prom episode may have just been the straw that broke the camel’s back.

How can you compare an episode that started the legendary “Donna Martin graduates” chant to some stupid story line with Naomi and her geeky (yet still very attractive) boyfriend.  Seriously?  These photos have me remembering the GOOD times (and I can still hear the chanting…”Donna Martin graduates, Donna Martin graduates…”)

Note: make sure to also check out my Beverly Hills 90210 tour from when I first moved to LA.

Obsessed: English Weddings Hats

So I can not lie, I honestly couldn’t care less about the royal wedding.  I know, I know…I get that it’s a huge deal for England and sure, I’m happy for William and Kate but it was just a little too much for me.  However, I DVR’d a bit of the ceremony (I figured hey, it’s probably a once in a lifetime opportunity to watch, right?) and I can’t stop obsessing over the amazing unique hats that everyone was wearing.  I mean WHAT a fantastic concept.  Weddings don’t happen super often so why not take the opportunity to dress up and express yourself via “head art”?

After looking through tons of photos, I’ve selected my top 6 choices; some are argued to be the fashion mistakes of the event but I don’t care!  Most of the hats were created by England’s resident hat guru, Philip Treacy.  Apparently Philip has been designing hats for celebs and royals alike for years; and, according to InStyle.com, the Irish-born designer has even designed hats for American stars such as Lady Gaga, Demi Moore and Sarah Jessica Parker– love it.  Here are my favorite hats from the big deal (and yes, I don’t care what you, Gawker or anyone else says, I looooooove Princess Beatrice’s Lady Gaga hat- it is EVERYTHING.)  Which were your favorites?

Kitty Spencer and guests (designer unknown but these girls look like they’d be on “The Hills” London)

Belve Music Lounge Party at Coachella

So this past weekend I attended Belvedere Vodka’s Belve Music Lounge party in honor of Coachella weekend!  As I’m sure you know, Belvedere is one of my favorite vodkas and so naturally, I was thrilled to receive the invite.  The lounge was held at a private estate about 5 minutes from the Coachella festival and my friends and I hung out by the pool and sipped on some specialty Belvedere Coachella-inspired cocktails– my favorite was the Belve Beat! (check HERE for all of the recipes).

Redbook Magazine Celebrates Its May Kardashian Issue

So on Monday night I attended the Redbook magazine Kardashian party at Sunet Tower Hotel in Hollywood, a party to celebrate Redbook’s May cover – the six Kardashian women and baby Mason!  Truth be told, I love me some Kardashians so I was thrilled to receive an invite to this particular event.

I brought my friend Chelsea to the intimate event and we sipped white wine by the pool as we chatted with my friend Salvador and the gang from “Chelsea Lately,” who I obviously love, including the super hilarious and sweet Ross Matthews and Heather McDonald.

Harajuku Lovers G of the Sea

So I’ve stated like 1,000 times how much I <3 Gwen Stefani so it should be no surprise that I’m currently obsessed with her latest fragrance, Harajuku Lovers G of the Sea.

Since “The Little Mermaid” was a childhood favorite, naturally I was drawn to this bottle. I mean, even if you’re not a Gwen fan, you’ve GOT to give this to me…the packaging is adorable.  But packaging aside (we all know I’m a sucker), the limited-edition summer fragrance is an aquatic and fresh scent with top notes of crisp apple, water lily and sweet crushed berries.  Summer perfection.

JustFabulous launch party with celeb stylist Jessica Paster

So I attended the launch party celebration for a new shoe membership club, JustFabulous at Eveleigh in Hollywood hosted by celebrity stylist, Jessica Paster.  I brought my friend Sydne as my plus one (make sure to check out her fab fashion coverage of the event) and aside from the fun event, we were shocked we had never been to Eveleigh because it was so pretty!

Pretty Hollywood venue aside, we got the chance to pick out a pair of JustFab shoes (I went with a gold platform heel that Sydne spotted for me) and the celeb spotting was just as good as expected thanks to the host of the night, Jessica Pastor.  Look at how grown up Dakota Fanning is now!  God, I feel old.
