So I’m mildly obsessed with all things Rachel Zoe and when I saw this amazing feature on the less publicized Taylor and Brad, I had to read and share. Taylor’s gone off on her own but Brad is still on Team Zoe but it’s completely adorbale that they’re still friends. Make sure you also check out the additional photos were they style each other. So while watching the Grammy’s at my friend Robin’s apartment, my friends and I were all “wait…does Beyonce have glitter in her hair?” Yes, yes she did. When I got a pitch email today for the actual product that she wore, I simply HAD to share. Though I have to admit that Beyonce annoys the crap out of me, she is definitely talented and a hard worker…and, apparently, likes her bling.
So it’s already mid January and I’m sure that I’m not the only one that hasn’t fulfilled their New Years resolution to work out more, right? I felt really inspired when I saw this pic of Kim and Khloe Kardashian leaving the gym in LA last week. They’re both wearing head-to-toe PH8 and are looking comfortable enough to work out but also still super cute…what better way to multi-task and maybe, just maybe, pick up a dude? Anyway, this is my new strategy- look cute at the gym, tone up and maybe get some dates out of it. Boom.
So I would say that people tell me how much I look like 30 Rock’s Jane Krakowski oh about maybe four times a month and I really do love her makeup from last night’s 2010 Golden Globes. Here’s how to get the look from her makeup artist, Rebecca Restrepo:
“The overall inspiration was old hollywood with a modern twist. She wanted a chic and modern beauty look to match the look of her dress. I started by prepping the skin with a light moisturizer, then lightly applied COVERGIRL Simply Ageless concealer under the eyes using my ring finger followed by COVERGIRL Simply Ageless Foundation all over the skin with a wet sponge. I then applied COVERGIRL Simply Ageless Blush in Plush Peach with my fingers to the apples of her cheeks for a healthy glow and defined cheekbones. To finish the face, I lightly dusted COVERGIRL Microminerals FInishing Veil to set the look and create a soft shimmer look.
On her eyes, I used COVERGIRL Eye Enhancers 4-kit in Sheerly Nudes, applying the taupe shade all over the lid and along the lash line to the crease. I then added a touch of the lightest cream shade to the inner corner of the eye for a subtle pop. To add a bit of definition, I applied a gray matte shadow to the crease. For added drama, I lined her eyes with COVERGIRL Line Exact in black. To finish the eyes, I applied two coats of COVERGIRL LashBlast Volume followed by two coats of COVERGIRL LashBlast Length for dramatic, long lashes.
On her lips I applied a shear coat of COVERGIRL Lipstain in Teasing Blush followed by COVERGIRL Amazemint Lip Gloss in No Care Bare to soften the lip color and add just a hint of shine. “
