It’s my favorite time of year! POLO TIME. And yes, I’ve attended all three Veuve Clicquot Polo Classics…you might call me slightly obsessed but it’s just SO fun. Aside from being super chic, a ton of celebs attend the event, including Lauren Conrad, Ashley Green, Rachel Zoe, Mandy Moore and ton more.

Yesterday was just one of those gorgeous LA days that makes me happy to be living in southern California and to make things even better, it was the second annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic! I went to the first match last year and had the best time so when I heard they were coming back again, I gathered a big group of friends to come with and enjoy the champagne, horses and Pretty Woman-esque attire (see below). Though we weren’t in the VIP section (I mean, I know, right?) FabSugar did an awesome job of reporting on what all the celeb attendees wore, including Rachel Zoe, Jaime King and Ali Larter and, my friends and I even made the Getty Images page, lol. So if you’re like me, you won’t have any leftover champagne after New Year’s eve…but that’s exactly why you should buy an extra bottle BEFORE New Year’s and do this awesome DIY hair treatment. I’ve heard that beer is good for your hair, but champagne? Apparently, yes. Hair expert Joel Warren of the Warren-Tricomi Salon explains that champagne make for an excellent hair treatment, especially for blondes!
Champagne can help you achieve smooth, silky hair by mixing one-half cup of your favorite champers with one-half culp of hot water. Distribute the mix evenly throughout your hair and let it marinate while you are prepping for the big night out. Thank Joel later.
