I posted a video I found on TikTok to my Stories where a man shares how he doesn’t regret how he didn’t save a lot of money in his twenties because he prioritized travel and having fun. And now, at 35, he has zero regrets about it. This is something I can really relate to and, honestly, it holds a special place in my heart because the sheer amount of FUN that I had - not to mention a huge amount of international travel - is priceless to me ✈️🎊🥂

Weirdly enough, when I woke up this morning I noticed that I had randomly hung this leopard bikini top and my most sparkly purse on my closet door during a fit of cleaning yesterday 😹 It made me think “who is this girl who plans to wear this combo?! I don’t know her.”

This girl has only left the state of California 3 times since March 2020 and isn’t even considering going anywhere fun enough to wear this right now 😹😹😹 That said, I’m taking suggestions for my next trip…which will hopefully take place in 2023 if all goes well for us and COVID??? Maybe? I’m thinking Bali - @waywardroamer sold me on Bali a few years ago and I’ve been dying to go. Remember: “travel is the only thing you can buy that makes you richer.”

What big destinations are you dreaming of as we go through another COVID rough patch??? 😷🙄

In honor of Giving Tuesday this year, I wanted to honor my little sister, Melissa, who died of an accidental prescription opioid overdose in 2016. What a lot of people don’t realize is that the opioid crisis has worsened significantly during COVID, so much so that its deaths increased by 30%, year over year. That’s 275 people a day. 2021’s overdose toll will be the highest of any single year in the crisis, which has killed more than 500,000 Americans in over a decade.

I chose to highlight @partnershiptoendaddiction for this Giving Tuesday because they work to provide resources for families of loved ones who are currently addicted - something I wish I knew about when my sister was struggling and we, quite simply, didn’t know how to help her. I hope you’ll consider donating today - any amount helps! My goal is $2,900 since Melissa was 29 when she died too young. 💜💜💜

On the blog: 15 amazing buys for Small Business Saturday 🤍🤍🤍 On Small Business Saturday last year, I shared a few dozen small businesses to my IG Stories and it was a huge hit! So, this year I decided to do a big blog post for 2021 featuring small businesses run by women (and one super amazing Black teen boy trying to help get rescue dogs adopted!), and I hope you guys love it. Every brand here is run by a truly amazing human (I know most of them personally!), and I’d love to hear what you end up buying! xo (link in bio to read the full post) 🙏🏻

Trying to catch your attention with a cute cat photo. Did it work? 🐈‍⬛

If you or someone you know lives in California, PLEASE watch my “VOTE” Story Highlight. Forward it to your friends. Forward it to your weird aunt in San Clemente. The @gavinnewsom Republican recall is being funded by the citizens of California ($276 million dollars!!!), and being pushed by Tr*mp Republicans and anti-vaxxers. It’s all a big ploy for conservatives to not only gain control of our state, but to also regain the Senate majority- which could absolutely happen if Newsom gets kicked out, btw.

My Story Highlight explains everything, so please take a minute to watch and share! And PLEASE, PLEASE #vote. 🇺🇸 The current front-runner Republican they think will take over is a legit monster. He is a Black Republican man who doesn’t believe in vaccine or mask mandates. He also doesn’t believe in minimum wage, thinks women aren’t as smart about politics, and has openly said that he doesn’t think police brutality against Black people is a real thing. THIS is who is predicted to win if we don’t vote NO on the California recall. 🤦🏼‍♀️ #gavinnewsom

As someone who went into complete lockdown (living alone, btw) right when COVID hit, as someone who followed ALL the rules and never put herself or anyone else in danger, I want to say THANK YOU for this. Thank you to all the restaurants (and companies!) who are taking a stance on the efficacy of our extremely safe vaccines that nearly half of Americans are refusing to get. Thank you for creating a safe space for those of us who chose science and selflessness over stupidity and selfishness. I’ll say it here- I feel MUCH safer going to restaurants that require proof of vaccination, and I’m going to now go out of my way to make sure that I eat and drink at places that are enforcing this.

As @osterialabuca said in their IG post, we haven’t fought this hard, for this long, to let this go awry now. Swipe through to see a few restaurants in @wehocity that are requiring proof of vaccine or recent negative COVID test for entry. And, as a reminder (per my first image), no- this is NOT a violation of your “American rights.” 🥴 Nor is it “medical discrimination,” as I’ve seen ignorantly commented on Instagram.

Comment below and let me know what other restaurants are requiring proof of vaccination! Tag them if you can, and also comment the city so this post can be a resource for all of us. I’ll start.

Attn: anti-vax trolls: There is absolutely nothing you can say that is going to change my mind here, so save your breath cause you are gonna need it for your future ventilator ✌️
