So I was watching the usual re-runs of 90210 on DVR and I got extremely excited when I saw that I had the “Brenda falls for Dylan” episode. I remember always loving the whole Brenda/Dylan thing (and I seriously despised Kelly when that home-wrecker stole him while Brenda and Donna went to Paris!) Anyway, as I watched, I realized that their relationship was doomed for failure and completely unhealthy from DAY ONE. He was the emotionally unavailable guy that every girl wants to “fix” and “help.” If this was my first view of a relationship, that explains a lot about my love life, haha.

Renee Zellweger’s Face
So I’m glad someone else finally noticed the hideousness that IS Renee Zellweger’s face. I’m not mean- I’m honest. How does the woman even SEE anything when her eyes are so small? Regardless of my feelings on Renee, this website, Gallery of the Absurd, is always entertaining.

My Favorite Spring Accessory
So my favorite new spring accessory would have to be this necklace I bought at the Bebe on 5th ave and 15th st. I don’t usually like to spend $50 on costume jewelry that I won’t want to wear again in a few months but around this time last year, I saw a necklace at Bebe in the Roosevelt Field Mall and I didn’t buy it…I really wanted it too. When I went back to get it, they didn’t have anymore- lesson learned- If you really want something, just get it and worry about the guilt later. Besides, I have a real job now, right? LOL

The BEST Foundation, Minus the Brush
So I’ve never been the kind of girl to put on a full face of makeup…maybe it’s because I’m blessed with nearly-perfect skin or maybe it’s because I’m purely lazy? (Probably a combination of both) However, after reading a review of Bare Escentuals on my favorite blog, Jolie in NYC, I decided to put my Sephora gift card to use and buy the i.d. bareMinerals Foundation ($25.)(that, p.s.- also contains SPF 15!). It is TRULY amazing! I don’t put much on and I did get a shade darker then I should have (listen- I’m pale and I like a little color, ok?) but I’ve never gotten so many compliements on my skin! Co-workers and friends are telling me that my skin looks like it’s “glowing” and “as smooth as silk.” I’ve also been noticing more mass beauty mineral products (Neutrogena, etc.) and a few articles on the topic of mineral makeup (Lucky, etc.) I think the stuff is worth every penny- though I do refuse to buy the brush that goes with it. I’m sure the Kabuki brush is nice and all but $28. for a makeup brush?! I’ll stick with the brush that came with my CHANEL bronzer, thanks.

Um…How?
What?! Um…what?! That was my initial reaction to this photo of a statue of Britney Spears giving birth to Sean Preston. I know birth is supposed to be this whole natural process and like zillions of people have given birth but I’m sorry…what?! HOW is that even possible? Fitting a head through that hole? No! I love kids…I really do! I know I’ve been making some under the breath comments lately (i.e. “ugh, shut up you little monster”, “god, I can’t have a kid who is that loud”) that might tell you different but I DO want children of my own. Maybe it’s because I’m 23? Maybe it’s because my Mother had two C-sections? Who knows…all I do know is that that looks painful- God bless you, Brit Brit.

Leopard Print- Trendy or Tacky?
Every spring leopard print is always “in style.” And yes, i DO love leopard print…but in the same sense that I love pasta, in moderation. I mean, there’s a fine line in between stylish and tacky when it comes to these spots and as someone who considers herself “adept” at fashion, I sometimes even have trouble deciding where to draw the tacky/trendy line. The other day I tried on a top in Rampage and it was really cute…buuut I couldn’t decide if I looked trendy or trailer-parky.

Bro! I’m at THE Crobar!
So after seeing this in an AIM profile, I have probably watched this at least a dozen times since last night. What am I talkin’ bout? I’m talkin’ bout Gino the Ginny– which I’m pretty sure “Ginny” is spelled wrong. Regardless, I don’t think I’ve laughed so hard in months.
If you live in Long Island, NYC, Westchester or New Jersey, you will completely GET the references he makes. And if you don’t get the references, well…consider yourself lucky.
