It came out in 1995, when I was only in 6th grade, but guys, I learned some serious LIFE LESSONS from this epic movie. Aside from learning that boys almost never call when they say they will (hence, Christian above), I also learned the below.
Tell me, what did you guys learn from Clueless?
- “I never rely on mirrors, so I always take Polaroids”: Mirrors can totally make you look bigger or smaller than you actually are so, since Polaroid cameras are basically extinct, I sometimes still take iPhone photos of myself to see how I actually look. Say what you want, but it works.
- “Whatever you do, keep your hands on the wheel at all times!!!”: Sure, I couldn’t drive when this movie came out but I certainly learned a valuable lesson about driving on the freeway…which, by the way, still scares me sometimes.
- “Yeah, I hope not sporadically”: Simply put, I learned the definition of the word “sporadically.”
- “I do not wear polyester hair, okay?!”: Before this line, I didn’t even know people could wear polyester hair or hair that wasn’t their own, for that matter.

Love this movie. “Sporadically” was on the GRE exam that I took to apply to grad school! I was so excited because I knew the definition and it was all because of Clueless. LOL!
