Because Gemma and Gea love a good “adventure”…
Fun fact: my cats, Gemma and Gea, are pretty much my prisoners (kidding, but not really). They don’t ever go outside and truth be told, I kinda think they don’t even want to! Every once in awhile, I’ll come home and one of them will dart out the door of my apartment and run down the hall, but the minute someone else opens their door or they hear a loud noise, my little baby/babies will run immediately back into my apartment and give me a “I’m so scared and I’ll never do that again, I promise!” look.
When Purina Pro Plan approached me about June 15 being National “Take Your Cat on an Adventure” Day I thought, “Oh, man. That’s such a cute idea…I just wish my cats weren’t such, for lack of a better term, scared-y cats!”
After putting some thought into it, I really wanted to give my cats an “adventure” they haven’t experienced before and knew they’d appreciate so I came up with this: breakfast in bed.
At first they were super confused (cats are definitely creatures of habit), but then I saw a little light click on, especially with Gea, and they were THRILLED they could do two of their favorite things at the same time: cuddle in bed with me AND eat.
