Ah, wedding season…somehow I’ve managed to skate by with just a wedding here and there and haven’t experienced anything like a few of my friends (some have nine weddings this summer!). With that said, I had a close friend get married recently but I wasn’t invited to the actual wedding…so what do I get her? I wanted to get something creative and different that she would really appreciate (unlike that super fun serving spoon). A watch that I’m actually into

Whenever some asks me why I don’t wear a watch, I reference this scene from Clueless:

Mel (Cher’s dad): Do you know what time it is?

Cher: A watch doesn’t really go with this outfit, daddy.

But, guys, I recently spotted this ridiculously cute watch from La Mer Collections, and I might be a convert. It’s just annoying to me to have something on your wrist, unless it’s a cute bracelet, so the fact that this watch is pretty much disguised as a trendy wrap bracelet…well, I’m way into it.

Cocktail Alert: Standard Watermelon Martini

Watermelon is just the fruit of summer, and you know it. I recently tested out this delicious watermelon martini recipe from Russian Standard Vodka and I’m completely obsessed.

STANDARD WATERMELON MARTINI

2 oz. Russian Standard Original
2 oz. fresh watermelon juice
¼ oz. simple syrup
1 slice of watermelon

Shake with ice and strain into chilled coupe. Garnish with fresh watermelon.

Travel Essentials!

I’m heading to New York this morning (yay!) for my cousin’s wedding…annnnd, I’m super excited. I haven’t been back since Christmas and good god, I really miss my nephew (and sure, the rest of my family too). Since I’ve been slowly packing, and I do mean SLOWLY, I figured that I’d make a quick video on my beauty product “to-go bag” for travel.
