Margot Robbie STOLE the beauty show. Seriously, I’m this is absolutely my favorite beauty look from the night and here’s how you can replicate it. You’re welcome.
The sultry Australian actress, a presenter at the awards ceremony, looked breathtaking in a black Saint Laurent dress, a vintage Van Cleef & Arpels necklace and fiery orange-red lips. “We were inspired by old Hollywood glamour and wanted to make a statement,” says makeup artist Tyron Macchausen. “It’s the Oscars after all.”
SKIN: Tyron began by prepping the skin with Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer to ensure a flawless makeup application. He then used Hourglass Veil Fluid Makeup in Honey & Beige on her skin and Hourglass Hidden Corrective Concealer in Sand under the eyes.
CHEEKS: He lightly contoured with Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Radiant Light, and then applied Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Luminous Light as a highlight on her cheekbones.
EYES: He kept her eyelids bare and only applied Hourglass 1.5 mm Mechanical Gel Eyeliner to the inside of her lash line. He followed with several coats of Hourglass Film Noir Mascara to her top lashes.
LIPS: He lined her lips with Hourglass Panoramic Long Wear Lip Pencil in Raven, followed by Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick in Raven, for a pop of matte orange-red.

Jessica Chastain, another pale beauty, looks totally FLAWLESS. And, as they say, the best makeup starts with good skin…here’s how she got the look.
Celebrity makeup artist Kristofer Buckle created a subtle yet sultry look for long-time client Jessica Chastain who was a presenter at tonight’s 87th Annual Academy Awards.
“First, before we started, I applied a layer of Kiehl’s Creme De Corps to make sure Jessica’s arms, legs, and décolletage were as flawless as her face. Applying the lotion first gave it plenty of time to absorb.”
“I used my Kristofer Buckle Always Flawless Day to Night Palette and YSL Couture Variation Palette to create a soft brown winged eye. By using shadow, I was able to create a softer look than liquid liner. YSL Volume Waterproof Mascara was applied to add drama to her eyes. To finish the look, I used Kristofer Buckle Absolute Nude lip crayon in Nude Subdued for a clean, sophisticated lip.”
“All makeup application needs a great base, so I prepped Jessica’s skin with Kiehl’s Hydro Plumping Re-texturizing Serum. It works wonders as a primer and is extremely moisturizing. I then added a thin layer of Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream, and applied Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment With Avocado around her eyes. This was followed by Kiehl’s BB Cream in Light – Jessica is very fair, so it’s crucial to have both the right amount of coverage and SPF 50 all in one product.”

Clean, classic, gorgeous. I LOOOOVE Kerry Washington’s beauty look from the big night.
Makeup by Carola Gonzalez
To prep Kerry’s skin I began by applying Neutrogena Hydra Boost Gel Water Gel. Then I applied Neutrogena Shine Control Primer on Kerry’s t-zone to tone down shine on skin. Once fully absorbed, I started by highlighting under the eye area and then applying foundation all over face to even out skin: I used Marc Jacobs Beauty Genius Gel Oil free foundation in Cocoa Light.
I proceeded with Kerry’s eyes using Neutrogena Long Wear Nourishing Eyeshadow palette in Cocoa Mauve 40. To recreate Kerry’s look I first applied eyeshadow #2, from palette, all over her eyelid and then applied eyeshadow #1 on the crease of her eyes. I then lined her lower lash line with eyeshadow #4 to add some depth to the eye makeup. I then proceeded to line her upper lash line with Neutrogena Nourishing Eyeliner in Cosmic black. I added Velour fake lashes, Complete Me, to lift the eye and applied a few coats of mascara to her upper and lower lashes with Neutrogena Healthy Volume Mascara in Carbon Black.
For the cheeks I always like to add an extra touch of glow and color. In this case I chose Neutrogena Healthy Custom Glow Blush & Bronzer in Raisin Glow. I applied it from the apple of the cheek in an upward motion towards the temples.
The lips are always my last step, today I wanted to keep the makeup within a pastel palette and went with a light shade of pink: lip liner layered with Neutrogena MoistureSmooth Color Stick in Juicy Peach which created the perfect combo for the finished look.
Inspiration: Today’s inspiration were pastel colors. I’ve been experiencing a lot of pastel shades around my surroundings lately, and they were the biggest inspiration for my makeup selection today, which actually went hand in hand with the dress. I had not seen the dress until yesterday, and was very excited to see that what I had envision was going to work perfectly with the entire look. I wanted Kerry to look soft and beautiful all around.
Hair by Takisha Sturdivant-Drew
When I saw Kerry’s Miu Miu Oscar dress I felt it was elegant, but the a-line skirt is what makes it modern. So I decided to go with fresh flowing hair and gave her a side swept part with very little product in it to keep the volume and movement throughout her hair. The hint of color and long side bangs went well with her medium to long layers and was the perfect hairstyle for this look. It’s traditional yet soft and a more classic look.
To get Kerry’s soft lustrous hair I shampooed her with Neutrogena Triple Repair Fortifying Shampoo, which makes the hair three times stronger. It was really important that I used the Neutrogena Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Mask to condition her hair because it is an intensive moisture treatment which restores shine and rescues dehydrated hair. Being that Kerry had so many events my main goal is to keep her hair healthy and with the Neutrogena products you can see the results. After I toweled dried her hair I blow dried it with a comb attachment upside down to give her hair extra body and then added a dime size of the Neutrogena Triple Repair Leave-In treatment to protect her hair from the heat and styling tools.
By creating this deep side part on Kerry it was a great way to enhance her tresses. Then I sectioned off her hair in the back and took small sections until I got to the top and smoothed it out with the Sutra Beauty 1 inch Cult Classic flat iron. Then to add volume to her soft sultry tresses I used the Sutra Beauty Bombshell 1.5 inch Rod Curling Iron, and to finish off her look I lightly misted her hair with Oribe Superfine Hair Spray.
