Best of 2017

woman with her cat sharing Best of 2017

“I am both happy and sad at the same time, and I’m still trying to figure out how that could be.”
― Stephen Chbosky, The Perks of Being a Wallflower

Last year’s list showed me that even during the darkest time of my life (when my little sister died), the year still brought many happy moments.  I wanted to do another “best of” list for 2017 and, just like last year, looking back at the past year’s blog posts and Instagram photos made me truly happy and appreciative of everything I have.

I hope you guys can do the same; look back and try to focus on all the GOOD you have.

Love,

Jamie

woman in Iceland for the Best of 2017

{My trip to Iceland}

Iceland has been on my bucket list for a few years and I had the best time visiting the insanely beautiful country with two great travel buddies.  I still have to do an official Travel Guide (SO LATE, I know), but I promise it’s coming soon.

Make sure to also read my post on why Iceland is the ultimate beauty girl destination!

{72 hours in Santa Barbara with Chevrolet}

The full post is HERE but Santa Barbara is such a pretty and fun city to visit, especially when you’re being treated like royalty, courtesy of Chevrolet.

{Finding a “cure” for my lower back pain}

I plan on doing a full post on this soon but after almost a year of suffering from really bad lower back pain, I finally found something that legit gets rid of the pain: rolfing!  Like I said, more on that coming soon.

{Designing a ring in my sister’s memory}

When I first posted about the Melissa Rose x Nashelle ring I designed I wasn’t sure what kind of reaction I’d have and/or get.  I was truly overwhelmed by how many of you emailed and DM’d me sharing your own stories of how you’ve lost loved one to the opioid epidemic, and I’m so happy that I got to do something to help bring awareness.

{Philosophy’s #HowAreYouREALLY campaign}

You can read my Instagram post HERE to find out why this was so meaningful to me.

{Decorating my West Hollywood apartment}

You can see the full tour HERE. This project was a HUGE part of my year; somewhat stressful but overall just so good.

{DIYing my green dresser}

Sure, it wasn’t technically a DIY but re-doing my green dresser was definitely one of my favorite parts of my apartment design process!

{Finally getting to meet Gwen Stefani}

Words can’t even express the joy I got from meeting/interviewing my all-time idol Gwen Stefani.  I still get so excited every time I look at this photo, just saying…

two woman at the spa for best of 2017

{4 days at The Golden Door Spa}

I posted this to social with the headline “here’s what it was like to go to the spa where the richest women in the country vacation.” Enough said?

Cheers to an even better 2018 <3
