Because green is my favorite color and this lipstick is actual MAGIC…
When I got this pitch in my email box I replied in about 2.5 seconds with “MUST TRY THIS.” Of course, I added a few “please” and “thank yous” in there but Lipstick Queen Frog Prince is what I’ve been waiting for since I was about two years old: a green lipstick that isn’t actually green when you put it on.
As Poppy King, Lipstick Queen founder, said “things aren’t always what they seem. Sometimes you have to kiss a few frogs before you find your prince” and boy, oh boy, do I agree with that statement (in more ways than one). The emerald green lipstick reacts upon application with the warmth of your lips and turns into a magical rosey pink color, “rosebud” as the brand calls it.
No two pairs of lips will look the same, as it adapts according to your pH and natural coloring, but you can see a few examples HERE (all awesome). The ‘stick has vitamin E and shea butter, both super hydrating and great for dry lips, and actually also has a nice gloss that I didn’t even expect.
