Because this all-purpose scrub is basically like bathing in a tub of real strawberries…
Strawberries have always been my favorite fruit, and since you guys know how choosy I am when it comes to beauty products that smell like food (even healthy food), I was absolutely ELATED when I tried this scrub from Peter Thomas Roth…a brand that’s quickly becoming one of my favorites.
Peter Thomas Roth Strawberry Scrub Fruit Enzyme Polisher is way more than just your basic bitch of a scrub. For starters it’s not just for your face (hence the 8.5 oz. bottle), even though strawberries have traditionally been used to lighten facial skin (damn those age spots). The strawberry puree in this scrub consists of the skin, pulp, juice, and seeds of the strawberry fruit and is high in vitamin C, antiaging ellagic acid, polyphenols, and two nutritive minerals: manganese and potassium. But what I love most about this baby is that it also has finely ground almonds that gently exfoliate dead skin cells, leaving you feeling soft and fruity. Oh, and since the scrub uses almonds to exfoliate and not microbeads, you won’t harm the planet when you let this stuff wash down the drain. Win-win.
