Because you’re probably hungover and puffy-eyed today…
Anyone who follows me on Twitter knows exactly how I feel about Hillary Clinton being our best candidate for President and, as I write this blog post, Donald Trump is ahead and getting very close to the 270 electoral votes that he needs to win. I don’t want to get too into it but I’m sitting here with tears streaming down my face in dissapointment, sadness, confusion and so many more emotions that I can barely function. After I write this blog post I’m going to schedule it out for tomorrow in hopes that I will wake up and add a “just kidding!” update and eat all my words…but I digress. If you’re like me and you’re one giant ball of emotion, then here are three “nasty woman” eye creams that will hide your puffy (and probably hungover) eyes at work today.
Face Boss Line Bully Eye Rehab Creme: “Bully” seemed pretty appropriate and I really only like bullies when it comes to fighting my crow’s feet. This cream is packed with peptides and plumps the delicate area under your eyes; it also makes your eyes shimmer a bit when used under makeup.
REN Keep Young and Beautiful Instant Brightening Beauty Shot Eye Lift: I love a gel serum and this “shot” (what I need after this election) of anti-aging ingredients, the formula has light reflective pigments in it that instantly brighten and tighten the area around your eye, especially any dark circles. We all need a little eye brightness today, no? When applied consistently as part of your skincare regimen, it reduces fine lines and sagging of the eyelid using a powerful enriched plant cell delivery system.
Volition Beauty Helix Restorative Eye Gel: I was introduced to this eye gel a few months back at a press dinner and my first reaction was “whoooa, this feels AMAZING.” It does, guys. Seriously. What makes it feels amazing is slightly gross, snail mucin, BUT it really does help with fine lines and wrinkles, has a fab cooling effect for de-puffing, and works as a really effective under-eye primer before you apply your concealer!
Fun fact: The use of snail mucin as a skincare treatment dates back to ancient Greece and, in more modern times, South American farmers handling the French delicacy escargot noticed their hands looked younger and smoother. It wasn’t long before the trend exploded in the beauty-forward Korean market (duh, because Korea has the BEST beauty products) and then blew up from there. Snail mucin seemed appropriate given the topic as well. 😉
