Because there’s only so much you can watch on Netflix…
We all have a lot more time at home now, thanks to Coronavirus. I’m usually fine with alone time and staying in but, let me tell you, as soon as people started saying that we all need to stay in, I was like LET ME OUTSIDE. I WANT TO SEE THE PEOPLE.
Ugh. Obviously I’m not going to do anything stupid and put other people at risk, and I’m assuming a lot of you are probably feeling the same way – antsy AF, which is why I put this list together…7 beauty-related things to do while you’re social distancing.
I’d love to hear if you do any of these! Let me know in the comments below.
Reorganize your beauty products
Organizing is always a really productive time suck, haha. A few years back I did a BIG overhaul of my beauty closet with Life In Jeneral and you can see all our best tips HERE. Trust me, you will fee 100 once you purge and organize your beauty stash.
Learn a new beauty skill on YouTube
As someone who hasn’t uploaded a video to her YouTube channel since October (lol), I’m certainly not the expert on beauty videos here BUT, that said, there are literally thousands of amazing beauty YouTubers to watch and learn from. If you’ve been wanting to learn how to do a cat eye, or maybe how to contour like a Kardashian (!), just search for it, watch and learn.
Side note: I DO really love the videos I did on my 9 easy concealer hacks, how to do beach waves for fine hair, and four acne products that actually work. 🙂
Do a hair mask
Oh how I loooove a good hair mask. If you don’t have one on-hand at home (and don’t want to brave going to the store), you can actually just use your regular conditioner – just apply it to your hair while in the shower, don’t wash it out and leave it in for an hour, or even sleep with it in your hair. Done, you have an impromptu hair mask.
A few of my favorite hair masks:
Try a new face mask
I recently did a post on multi-masking and if you have a few face masks at home that you love, I HIGHLY suggest a fun multi-masking sesh. Personally, I love any face mask that is super hydrating and leaves my skin replenished and smooth.
A few of my favorite face masks:
Clean your makeup brushes!
I did a full Reader Question post on this exact topic here but considering that we’re all trying to fight a virus here, cleaning your makeup brushes is more important than ever before.
Ice roll your face
I did a full post HERE on why you need the Insta-famous ice roller HERE (and what it really does) and I still feel v. strong about it.
Take a long bath
Personally, I only love a bath every once in awhile but while we all have some extra time at home a bath is always a good idea to help you relax. Right now I’m loving the Lord Jones High Formula CBD Bath Salts since they also help relax my lower back.
What are some of the beauty-related things you’ll be doing while you’re practicing social distancing? Tell me in the comments below!
