Lately I’ve been trying to test out products that I’d normally write off at as “marketing hoopla” or really just something I’m just not interested in trying because, hey, I AM a beauty blogger and it IS my job to test out EVERYTHING, right? These three products, though I was skeptical, pleasantly surprised me…
I used to always wonder how it’s possible that you can wear a mask for 20 minutes but then ALSO wear it overnight…this makes the kind of sense that’s not to me. But I recently tried the BOSCIA TSUBAKI DEEP HYDRATION SLEEPING MASK, specifically made for SLEEP, and I’m way into it. The mask is lightweight and it uses a botanical blend of tsubaki oil (camellia oil), wakame (Japanese sea kelp), and rice bran oil to hydrate and smooth your skin while you catch some dream about Ben Affleck (or is that just me?).
BB and CC creams are pretty much the “thing” in beauty these days and even though I really do love the Jergens version, I’m also into URBAN DECAY NAKED SKIN BODY BEAUTY BALM as well. It’s a five-in-one kinda deal since it minimizes pores, fine lines, wrinkles and redness and, get this, Urban Decay did a clinical study that showed results in about eight weeks. I was a little skeptical about the whole “one color fits all” part of this, since I’m so fair, but the lightweight cream actually worked well and is really pretty much invisible on your skin once applied.
AVEDA PURE ABUNDANCE STYLE PREP was recommended to me by the owner of Spoke & Weal Salon (love, btw) and, again, I was all “ooooh, yet another volumizing spray…suuure, ok” but yeah, I was wrong. The problem I have with other volumizing sprays is that they’re usually sticky, and end up making my hair more greasy than big, but this Aveda version is fab. It thickens hair strands with a botanical blend of passion fruit, rice bran, açaí oil, organic aloe and acacia gum and, best of all, it’s completely weightless.
