Because sometimes you gotta prime that sh*t…
I’ve blogged many, many times about how I’m a total primer convert (see here, here, here and here), but I haven’t really preached about how important it is to also prime your HAIR. Real talk: if you dye your hair or frequently use heat styling tools, you should definitely be prepping with some kind of pre-styler that conditions, protects from heat, etc. in order to maintain solid hair health for your head.
My latest favorite: Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil Primer. This baby is infused with six different light oils that smooth and soften the hair and, of course tame frizz. It also protects against breakage from UV and heat damage (e.g. curling irons, flat irons, the sun, etc.) so it’s kinda like SPF for your hair.
Now let’s talk scent. Since it IS summer (sort of, not officially), I love the fruity, sweet scent of this primer – it has little hints of tropical paradise, so even when I wake up to LA’s “May gloom” I definitely have to say a spritz or two of this on my hair wakes me up and gets me going.
