So another Mascara Monday, part IV. I’m a big fan of CoverGirl, and especially a big fan of their different mascaras. One that recently caught my eye is the CoverGirl Exact Eyelights line. This mascara line makes eyes four times brighter while leaving lashes long, lush and clump-free. With four different shades, one for each eye color, your eyes will surely light up the room! Approved, for sure.
So by now you know all about my love for Gwen Stefani so naturally I was thrilled to find out about her latest perfume extension, Harajuku Girls Snow Bunnies! The scents will remain the same but Gwen and each of her Harajuku girls will strut their stuff in warm winter snow gear. Mark your calendars for September…
So NARS recently re-introduced a few of their top-selling nailpoish shades as Vintage 2009. Personally, I’m obsessed with “hunger” (second from left). This photo doesn’t do it justice…it’s much more coralish and perfect for summer. I actually get tons of compliments when I wear it and it’s also a perfect match for both silver and gold sandals!
So this rain really sucks. Unfortunately, I’m not one of those girls who is blessed with naturally straight hair…I’m the girl who spends a half hour straightening and then walks outside only to watch my hair literally pouf out a foot around my head. Ok, a foot is an exaggeration but when the weather is crappy, I’ve learned to embrace my waves. I recently discovered Sally Hershberger’s Wavy hair line and I’m seriously obsessed. So welcome to Mascara Monday, Part III. Enter Maybelline Lash Stiletto. First off, I love the name and the slogan “the only mascara that does for lashes what stilettos do for legs.”
Second, this mascara really lenghtened my lashes and the black is deep and really stays on well with no clumping or flaking. The Pro-Vitamin B-5 formula conditions and smoothes for black-patent shine! Approved.

needless to say, I’m a big style stalker of the fabulous Leighton Meester and, lucky for me, I was able to get her makeup scoop from her makeup artist, Molly R. Stern for COVERGIRL, for last night’s MTV Movie Awards!
“Leighton’s look was sexy with an edgy feel. She wanted to look like herself while celebrating the rock ‘n roll spirit of the night. I started by basing her skin with Cle de Peau’s new cream foundation in O20. For her blush, I used Shiseido’s Accentuating Powder Blush is Glistening Brown.
On her eyes, I based them with Vincent Longo’s liquid eyeshadow in Midnight Mauve. Over that, on the inside lid into the crease, I dusted NARS night clubbing glittery powder eyeshadow. Inside her eye both bottom and top, I lined her eyes with COVERGIRL Exact Eyelights Brightening Liner in Vibrant Pearl (NEW from COVERGIRL, hitting shelves in late July!!). Her mascara is COVERGIRL LashBlast Luxe in Black Emerald. And to finish the look, she is wearing COVERGIRL Outlast Lipstain in Cinnamon Smile.”
Nicole Richie and jewelry? Makes sense. Kim Kardashian and a butt-blasting workout video? Makes sense too. Will Ferrell and a sunscreen line? Um…I have to say that this is so out there, that it’s actually genius. In Will’s continued support for the charity, Cancer for College, 100% of the proceeds ($12 a bottle) will go towards the charity. Cancer for College is a charity that provides college scholarships for cancer survivors and amputees. “I’ve always dreamed of owning a lotion company,” Will said of his choice to create sunscreen, “And I’ve always hated cancer.” Not only are the bottles completely hilarious, but they actually WILL protect you from the sun this summer…grab them up fast.
