A Valentine’s Day cocktail from Belvedere vodka

So you know I’ve blogged about Belvedere time and time again (and not just because it’s the official drink of Chelsea Lately).  It’s honestly one of my top vodkas and I’m really loving this special Valentine’s Day recipe, whipped up by Belvedere’s head of spirit creation and mixology, Claire Smith.  Strawberries and vodka…what’s a better combination?

“Sealed with a Kiss” cocktail

  • 1.5 oz. Belvedere vodka
  • 4 strawberries
  • 1 shiso leaf
  • 1/2 oz. Koshinokaghiroi sake

Berry Scary Sour cocktail

So as a true Chelsea Handler fan, I obviously love me some Belvedere Vodka.  I was recently sent this delicious cocktail recipe created by Belvedere’s Head of Spirit Creation and Mixology, Claire Smith, who has also been on Chelsea and is totally awesome.  The Berry Scary Sour called out to me in particular because it’s a delicious combination of Belvedere IX, blackberries and blueberries…and I’m a BIG fan of the vodka/berry combo.  Yes ma’am.  Here’s the recipe for this Halloween treat:

  • 2 oz. Belvedere IX
  • 5 blackberries
  • 4 blueberries
  • 1/2 oz. ginger syrup
  • a dash of lemon juice

Muddle the berries with the ginger syrup and add the Belvedere IX. Shake with cubed ice and strain over fresh ice into a rock glass.

Belvedere’s Pre-VMA party at the Hollywood Roosevelt

So my love for the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel is endless so needless to say, when I found out the top secret location of Belvedere’s Pre-VMA BELVE Music Lounge just happened to be the Hollywood Roosevelt, I let out a squeal of excitement.  My friend Jen and I walked down to the Roosevelt from my apartment and hung out by the famed Tropicana Pool, sipped on some delicious Grapefruit Belvedere Vodka and watched in awe as B.O.B jumped up on the roof and started singing his hit songs that they just will not stop playing on the radio.  The highlight was definitely the Grapefruit Vodka…I’d been dying to try it since Chelsea Handler featured it on her show.  It’s amazing and grapefruit is good for you so drink up.
