The Monday Rundown

Strawberry Margarita Popsicles: Summer is approaching and the combo of strawberries and margarita makes me dream of laying poolside on a lazy Sunday.

Tarte Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20: My girl Maura wrote up this product in Lucky a few months back and I decided that I needed to try it.  She was absolutely right- it goes on light and it’s super moisturizing.  I DO need to add concealer on top since it is so light and I have a few hyperpigmentation spots that need some extra coverage but I’m really enjoying this clay-based tinted moisturizer.

Diane Von Furstenberg Harper Connect Day Bag: Genius.  Pure genius.  Diane created this bag so that you can insert your iPad into it and, by design, use it while it’s still actually in your purse.

Coco CHANEL Silver Art Print from Etsy: I’ll always have a special place in my heart for anything CHANEL after interning at New York corporate headquarters while in college.  This print is subtle yet still incredibly chic. It will live in my living room.

CHANEL’s Newest Nailpolish Sensation

Over the years, CHANEL has come out with a slew of cult favorite nail shades…I mean, does anyone else remember the black and mint green trends?  The next big thing?  Denim-inspired color.  The word is out that the fashion mega brand will launch three new blue shades on September 8th (in stores and on CHANEL.com) and they’re limited edition, e.g. only available until the end of September!

CHANEL faux tattoos

So I blog about CHANEL a lot, to say the least.  I’m slightly biased because I fell in love with the brand about 5 years ago while I interned there in college.  Ah, memories.  Alas, the super brand has done it again- starting February 15th, for a mere $74 you get 55 press-on CHANEL faux bracelets, pendants, necklaces, cherry blossoms and a bejewled bird.  You might think $74 is a bit pricey for fake tattoos but you get 55 of them to play with!  They’re based on faux tattoos from their Spring fashion show that Creative Director, Peter Philips, created for their models.  I LOVE.

CHANEL Mousse Exfoliante Purete Exfoliating Cleansing foam Purity + Anti-Pollution

So I recently received a product mailing from one of my favorites brands of all time, CHANEL. As you can see here, I talk about CHANEL fashion a lot so why not start delving into the beauty side?  The CHANEL Mousse Exfoliante Purete Exfoliating Cleansing foam Purity + Anti-Pollution is an amazing exfoliating cleaning foam. The luxurious foam glides on immediately and is targeted for combination to oily skin.  Tulip Tree Extract, a main ingredient, works to cleanse and protect the skin from environmental elements while also gently exfoliating the face.  A bonus?  The product came with the most adorbale little white CHANEL face cloth.  Sorry, don’t think it’s for sale. =)

CHANEL Paris Spring 2010 Ready to Wear

So by now everyone knows about my obsession with all things CHANEL and after checking out the Paris Spring 2010 Ready to Wear collection, the obsession lives on. I’m in love with the black a-line mini with tucked in white button down and I mean, hello clogs! I was immediately reminded of the last time clogs were in style…which would be the 5th grade. It’s about time they made a come back! Check out the entire show here.

Nailpolish trend update

So there’s lots of exciting nail news as of late- for one, I’m sure you’re all aware of our Gwen Stefani obsession here at QueenoftheQuarterLifeCrisis, so when Gwen’s models showed up wearing white nailpolish we totally freaked out.  Love it.  The models doned Dashing Diva’s “Fleet Week.” Hmmmm, kind of similar to my first nailpolish obsession EVER.

Second, when I saw CHANEL’s newest cult craze, Jade, a minty green color, I was reminded again of my childhood years…I was OBSESSED with the color green and I used to buy every shade of green nailpolish I could find at the supermarket.  Wet ‘n Wild used to make some sicko green shades that I adored.  Memories…
