Obsessed: Alberto Parada 18K Rose Gold Carnelian and Diamond Ring

So every once in awhile I find a piece of jewelry that I can not stop thinking about and yes, it’s happened once again.  Alberto Parada’s 18K rose gold Carnelian and diamond ring is totally amazing.  We all know that I’m a big fan of wearing the color red so it shouldn’t be any surprise that I’m totally in lust with this gorgeous piece of finger art.  While, yes, I can’t afford it (SRP: $4,150), a girl can dream can’t she?

Alberto is known for his simplistic sustainable fine jewelry and also known for using conflict-free diamonds and ethically-sourced gems. And, Alberto’s jewelry contains only HARMONY gold which is recylced, refined and produced in Virginia; Alberto chooses 100% recycled gold so his jewelry doesn’t contribute to the environmental destruction and waste caused by precous-metal mining.  If you’re in the market for some Earth Day pieces, this is a great line to choose from!

Sponsored Post: Online Discount Codes on DealTaker.com

So I want to let you in on a little online shopping trick that I do—-whenever I buy an item from a popular website (VictoriasSecret.com, 1800Flowers.com, department stores, etc.) I always google “store name discount code” first before clicking purchase.  There’s almost always a good discount somewhere online and you can end up saving quite a bit of money with a little luck.  I recently made a purchase on VictoriasSecret.com and found a $75 off $300 or more discount code that wasn’t advertised in the catalog!

My latest discovery?  DealTaker.com. I was looking for Nordstrom coupon codes and came across this great site, which has a TON of amazing codes all in one place…and, the site won’t give your computer a virus, which is always a concern of mine.

Announcement: I’m a Sole Society Fashion Insider!

So a few weeks ago, I was announced as one of Sole Society’s Fashion Insiders!  If you don’t already know, Sole Society is the brain child of the infamous HauteLook.com and it’s just as fun and fancy.  Basically you take their Style Quiz to discover your Style Bio and personalized selection of designer-quality shoes (and seriously, they are designer-quality).  You then pick your favorite pair from the shoes that are determined right for you and they ship to you for free.  Membership is $49.99 a month, quite the bargain for ANY pair of shoes, AND if you don’t like any of the shoes they have, you can simply just skip the month.  I’ve got two pairs and I’m totally OBSESSED with both of them; they’re incredibly comfortable and super cute.

Make sure to check out the site for some fun quotes from me and, of course, stay tuned for more shoe posts from me.

Shop It To Me’s Unregrettable Evening of Fashion

So I recently attended an “Unregrettable Evening of Fashion” hosted by Whitney Port, American Express and Shop It To Me with my friends Sydne and Kristen.  The event was such a cool concept- everyone received a $50 American Express gift card so they could live-shop on ShopItToMe.com and, as a bonus, everyone was asked to bring one item of clothing to be donated to Beyond Shelter, an LA-based charity.

I took the opportunity to break in my new shoe obsession– an amazing pair of grey zipper booties from Haute Look’s Sole Society!  Stay tuned for a post soon on my affiliation with the new shoe site (hint: I’m a fashion insider!).

note: I hate this photo but the shoes look fabulous and really, that’s all that matters.
