So two of my favorite things, fashion and vodka, have come together and I had to share to news. Belvedere has come out with a new Pink Grapefruit flavor has inspired a limited-edition kaftan designed by Matthew Williamson. And, to celebrate the collaboration, Matthew partnered with DJ/model, Leigh Lezark, to model the jumper. Belvedere’s New York City pop-up shop will go “live” on May 13th directly across the street from Matthew Williamson’s Meatpacking District store.

Degree Women Natureffects Launch in NYC!
So as you know, I spent this past weekend in my hometown, New York City, courtesy of Degree for Women. It was a whirlwind trip- my friend Robin and I flew out at 7AM on Saturday morning and returned to LA Monday night around 9PM…fast but totally worth it. We even got to meet up with our good friend, Nadine Jolie, who was also in town for a John Frieda event! Luckily for us, the usually unpredictable New York City weather was absolutely gorgeous on Saturday and Sunday but then, naturally, it rained on Monday. So New York, you gotta love it. Anyhow, the whole reason Degree so generously flew me across the country was because of their newest launch- Degree Natureffects. You’ve probably seen my other posts – the whole idea behind this line is to have women become empowered and inspired by nature, something that many of us often forget to include in our daily lives, myself included. The daily grind makes it tough for women to get the touch of nature they crave, but it’s important to look for small ways to release their “outdoorphins” and incorporate nature into every day.
According to a study that Degree conducted, 86 percent of women agree that just by taking their lunch outside, they improve their productivity. So true! And, just in case you were wondering, the Natureffects line really DOES smell divine and like nature. World-renowned fragrance expert Ann Gottlieb designed the nature-inspired scents and combined them with ingredients known to fight odor. The line features three vibrant scents: Honeysuckle & Tea Tree Oil, Olive Leaf & Pink Pepper and Orange Flower & Cranberry…and they all smell amazing, trust.
We stayed at the W Times Square and we were both really impressed with our room and the look and feel of the hotel- it was totally a chic space in the middle of the cluster that is Times Square.
Robin and I enjoyed 30 minute massages at the amazing bliss Spa in midtown.
We then headed back to the W Times Square for dinner at Blue Fin. Luckily, Robin and I like the same kinds of food so we split oysters, a spicy lobster roll, crabcakes, two yummy chocolate desserts and, of course, wine.
Monday morning- finally! We were both super excited to see the infamous Mary J. Blige! We were in the VIP section- 2nd row and had an AMAZING view as the singer sang one of my all-time favorite songs, “Real Love.” (check back later for my video)
We had time for a quick lunch after Mary J. finished so I decided to sow Robin one of my favorite lunch spots (that is nearly impossible to get into on the weekends, btw)- Penelope! Totally worth the trip across town to Murray Hill! And yes, I was as tired as I look in this picture.

I’m going home to New York!
So you probably read my last two posts about Degree’s new Natureffects line of Deodorants and Body Mists, right? Well it turns out that I was selected as the WINNER for their beauty blogger contest supporting the launch and I won a free trip for me a friend to New York City to attend a Mary J. Blige concert in Times Square!!! Seriously, I’m still in shock. I haven’t been home since Christmas and I was definitely itching to get back and enjoy all that Manhattan has to offer. I’m so greatful to Degree for this amazing opportunity- make sure you’re following me on Twitter because I’ll be in New York Saturday, March 20th until Monday, March 22nd and I’ll be tweeting and blogging about my experiences during the trip.

John Frieda’s Sheer Blonde Entourage
So when I heard about this great new promotion from John Frieda, I had to share. As a card-carrying blonde for the past 9 years, I’ll be the first to say blonde is better and blondes really do have more fun! (Ok, that might be a bit of an exaggeration but I do enjoy my sunny tresses.) Anyway, check out ForBlondesOnly.com to sign up and see if the tour is coming to a city near you. If you live in the New York City area, Natasha Bedingfield will be performing at the Highline Ballroom on March 18th! The elite event lets all girls experience the benefits of being blonde with the royal treatment- hair station makeovers, amazing food and of course, cocktails- all to the music of Natasha.

St. Patrick’s Day Gift Guide
So St. Patrick’s Day is totally the forgotten holiday when it comes to presents and being raised in a predominantly Irish and Italian area of New York, St. Patrick’s Day was always a HUGE deal and a big celebration in school as well. Since this is my first St. Patty’s in LA, and there aren’t many Irish people out here, I decided to call a little extra attention to the biggest drinking day of the year. And, as my freckled counterpart, Ashley Brady, says “on behalf of Ireland, we thank you.”
Sue Devitt Hydrating Marine Minerals Eye Palette in “Green Isles”
This beautiful Destination Eye Palette just screams the rolling green hills of Ireland to me. The colors, though green, are universally flattering and blendable. I’m kind of in love with this palette.
Michelle Roy is known for her trendy and fun designs and I’m really into both of these pieces.
Wood and coral stretch bracelets with charm, SRP $58
Chain with clover, SRP $72
Erin Condren is one of those brands that people instantly fall in love with and if you’re super Irish, you NEED some St. Patty’s Day paper goods like these gift labels, flat note cards, folded greeting cards, etc. Best of all- the entire St. Patrick’s Day collection is 20% off!!!
