Holiday Gift Idea: the best beauty picks from Sephora

So everyone loves Sephora, no?  But it wasn’t until recently when the lovely folks at Sephora sent me an amazing assortment of their hand-picked holiday goodies.  It really is true- you can find something for anyone on your list.  Here are my top three picks, perfect for any beauty junkie.

Philosophy The Gingerbread House:This is the PERFECT housewarming gift when you’re going to a couple’s house.  The man will pretend to resist but you know he’s using his Gingerbread Man when he’s alone in the shower.  And, it’s a shower gel AND bubble bath so it’s a double bonus.

Josie Maran Love Nest: Unofortunately this set is no longer available on Sephora.com but I’m sure they still have plenty at your local Sephora store.  The Love Nest consists of all of Josie’s favorite argan products- the classic Argan Oil, Argan Color Stick in “Petal Pink,” GoGo Mascara and Argan Illuminizer.  What’s not to love here?

ghd Dazzle Gift Set: I used this baby a few weeks ago when I went to Jamaica and I couldn’t be happier.  The limited-edition hair styling set includes a ghd 1″ flat iron, a travel hair dryer and a heat-resistant zip up carrying case that, yeah, is black and sparkly.

Whitney Port “kisses for a cause” at Sephora

So I’ve been hearing a lot of buzz about the LA-based charity organization, The Beauty Bus Foundation lately.  And when I hear about one of my favorite reality TV stars teaming up with a great store like Sephora, I need to report it.  Whitney Port kicked off the “Kiss for a Cause” initiative here in LA.  The three week-long initiative benefits The Beauty Bus Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for homebound, terminally or chronically ill people and their primary caregivers by bringing beauty into their lives.  During the promotion, Sephora is inviting its clients to try one of fall’s hottest trends- the bold, red lip and donate their kiss to the in-store collage.  Whit was among the first to donate her kiss, choosing Make Up Forever’s Rouge Artist Intense Lipstick in #42, Moulin Rouge as her favorite shade.

Wanna get in on the action?  From now until September 15th, $1 of every qualifying red lip purchase at Sephora will be donated in support of The Beauty Bus Foundation, up to $25,000.  Check out your local Sephora store to find out which red lip products make the cut.

Kim Kardashian perfume

So I admit that I love Keeping Up With the Kardashians and I don’t care who knows it. How can you not love watching the crazy antics plus, what’s not to love about Bruce Jenner? Anyway, when I received a sample of Kim’s new perfume, creatively named Kim Kardashian, I decided that I must try it. The verdict? I really like it. And, I’m a tough sell when it comes to scents.  That Kim is one busy lady these days…she also just launched Kardashians for bebe at New York Fashion Week!  You have to have respect for anyone that works so hard!

Gift Idea: Make Up For Ever Aqua Eye Travel Holiday Set

So I’m a big fan of Make Up For Ever’s Aqua Eyes eyeliner.  It’s definitely the best eyeliner that I’ve tried since it doesn’t smudge or run and yet still manages to provide some decently pigmented color and this is exactly why the Travel Holiday Set is fantastic.  You get FIVE of the best shades for only $49!  I also love the travel size metallic case that they come in…makes it very easy for travel.

Sephora Claus

So Sephora has come up with a genius little idea that I was more than happy to participate in…Sephora Claus.  Sephora will grant one beauty wish per day until December 19th via Twitter!  I’m in love with the Web site…each time someone submits their beauty wish, a gift tag falls down so everyone can see what it was and the person’s Twitter handle!  So cute.  What did I wish for?  The T3 Featherweight Blowdryer, sigh.  Submit your wish today!
