The Monday Rundown

Z Gallerie Zig Zag Canvas Bag: I love a good chevron, especially when it’s black and white and perfect for day time.  I want this tote for the beach, especially since it matches nearly all of my bikinis.

Epicuren Pumpkin Apple Spice Peel: Pumpkin is fall, let’s face it.  I recently tried this Pumpkin Apple Spice Peel and it’s pretty fantastic.  You can actually smell the pumpkin and spice in the product and my skin was left feeling really refreshed.

Greek-Key Mirror: I’m in the process of looking for a some mirrors for my living room and this key-patterned version just might be a winner.

Pumpkin Gnocchi with Brown Butter Sage Sauce: If you aren’t already reading my friend Felicia’s food blog, you should be.  She cooks (and also Instagrams) the BEST, I repeat BEST, food ever.  Gnocchi is one of my cult favorites so this fall version is next on my to-do list.

The Monday Rundown (LA Edition)

Gavert Atelier highlights: It’s been a little over a year since my last trip to Gavert and I was LONG overdue.  I love everyone that works there – seriously, they’re the nicest staff ever – and I especially love the fact that they give honest advice and opinions; they don’t just “yes ma’am” any of their clients and that is important if you want good results!  The color?  I love.  Will I go back to Gavert Atelier?  Absolutely.

Sprinkles Cupcakes: They have a ton of locations now and, as you know, cupcake stores have a lot of competition…but what makes Sprinkles unique is their cupcake ATM machine.  How can you not want to just buy cupcake after cupcake, just to watch them come out of the ATM?!  I’m obsessed.

H.D. Buttercup: Pricey, yes, but this is one of the best furniture stores that I’ve ever seen.  At the very least, you can go and get some good inspiration and then stop into Father’s Office (right next door) for some good beer on tap or a glass of wine.

Blessed Charm jewelry: I went to an event for Blessed Charm last week and absolutely fell in love with their dainty, sophisticated, yet simple, line of jewels.  The creator, a former entertainment manager, lives here in LA and all of the materials are sourced from LA as well (and, of course, also made here).  What I love even more than the jewelry line is the brand’s partnership with Create Now, an organization that serves vulnerable kids (ages 2-25) who have been abused, neglected, victims of domestic violence, etc. and teams them up with mentors that spend positive time with them.

The Monday Rundown

Z Gallerie Aquamarine Zig Zag (aka chevron) Frame: Chevron is so happening right now and I love the way this aquamarine (my birthstone, by the way), is subtle but still super girly.

Essie nail polish in “Skirting The Issue”: Oxblood is on trend for fall and, of course, Essie launched this dark red in its fall collection.  It’s the perfect red for fall!

House of Harlow 1960 Engraved Snake Double Finger Wrap Ring: I got this amazing ring as a gift (c/o L’OREAL) but it’s no secret that I love all things House of Harlow 1960 AND double finger rings. I can already tell you that it’s gonna be a fall staple.

Spiked Oreo Milkshake: I recently went to Go Burger for the first time with my friend John and he convinved me (ok, it didn’t take much convincing) to try their AMAZING spiked Oreo milkshake.  What can I say besides OMG?  It’s just brilliant.  I adapted the regular Oreo milkshake recipe with THIS recipe, which includes the booze.

BEAUTY:: Kiehl’s Rosa Arctica Eye: I love, love LOVE Kiehl’s (especially their Rosa Artica moisturizer) so when they announced the new Rosa Arctica Eye Cream, I simly HAD to try it.  The results are fab; the skin around my eyes feel super hydrated and, with time, should appear firmer and smoother.

HOME:: Z Gallerie Zig Zag Rectangular Tray: I’ve been trying to find the perfect serving tray and I’m really into this black and white chevron version from Z Gallerie.  So cute and chic.

FOOD:: Williams-Sonoma Truffle Salt: I discovered the art of the truffle a few years ago after trying the truffle french fries at Delicatessen (you would die for them), so when I realized that I could actually buy my OWN, I went nuts.

FASHION:: Alexander McQueen Oxblood Whipsnake Knucklebox Clutch: Oxblood, though it has a really gross name, was all over New York Fashion Week and I LOVE this clutch.  Clearly, I’m not going to be buying it any time soon (at the lovely price of $2,395) but a girl can dream, can’t she?

The Monday Rundown

Forever21 Rhinestone Speckles Ring Set: I grabbed these up while shopping on the website and can’t wait to wear them.  $6.00 guys, SIX DOLLARS for these and, in my opinion, they look super expensive.

Jouer Cosmetics SPF 15 Lip Sheer in “St. Barths”: I’m on a constant quest for the perfect red lip and I LOVE this sheer red shade for when I want a subtle hue.  On top of the SPF protection (yay!), the Jouer Lip Sheer is also really hydrating.

Urban Outfitters Scrollwork Gate Jewelry Stand: I’ve been trying to expand my jewelry collection as of late and I’m right at that point where I’m running out of room in all of my current jewelry organizers.  It’s a bummer that I didn’t get another wall holder so that I can match them to the one I already have but I really do like this second generation version from Urban Outfitters.  It’ll hold both earrings AND necklaces and will look cute on my wall.

Avocado toast: Avocado has been and still is all the rage and right now I can’t get enough of avocado toast.  The trick?  A little hot sauce sprinkled on top.

Jennifer Fisher Double Skull Cuff: I’m not usually into the whole skull thing but I really, really love this rose gold bracelet.

NYX Cosmetics The Curve: It’s really just so smart.  I hate putting on liquid eyeliner and the “grip zone” on this liner provides just the right hold to make it super easy to apply.

Grilled corn summer salad: I had corn on the cobb yesterday for the first time this summer this summer…which is shocking considering that it’s one of my most favorite foods ever.  This summer salad is perfect in every way.

Anthropologie Chained Vase: I love this Anthro vase but I mean, come on, $200? I don’t think so.  This is a fairly easy DIY project that I will be doing in the upcoming weeks.

The Monday Rundown

Oscar Blandi Texture & Volume Spray: Texture and volume?  I like it. Oscar is a master so it’s no surprise that this product does exactly what it says – lasting body and texture and flexible hold.

Monroe Black Chiffon Wrap Dress: Love this dress.  The belt (sold separately) really makes the dress BUT I still love an LBD, an this one is no exception.

Alex Elman Chardonnay: I’m a big wine lover and this Argentinian chardonnay is pretty amazing.  What I love even more (aside from the taste) is the fact that this wine is organic, which involves no barrel aging and, of course, no harmful pesticides.

Anthropologie Pieced Geom Mirror: I’ve been shopping around for a new mirror for my bedroom and I’m really liking this Anthro piece.  Thoughts?
