Celebrating the holidays with my fur babies

If you’re a pet parent, then you already know about Chewy, am I right?!

Today I’ve partnered with Chewy to share a few of my absolute favorite toys to celebrate the holidays with my babies, Gemma and Gea. First off, I have to tell you that now is the absolute time to stock up on everything you need for your pets since Chewy is having a major Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale with everything up to 40% off (!).

Their Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale officially started on November 25 and ends on December 3. I also want to note they will be having daily Flash Deals (24-hours only), so it’s important to keep checking back!

I’m obsessed with Chewy for many reasons, but really it comes down to their competitive pricing, shopping convenience (autoship, 1-2 day shipping), amazing customer service, and the ways that they give back to the pet community via shelter donations. Did you know that they’ve donated more than $183M in products to pets in need via Shelters and Rescue program? That includes 86M+ pounds of food and 130M+ meals donated to shelter animals across 11K shelters. You honestly can’t ask for more than that from any company – clearly Chewy loves animals just as much as we love ours.

But, ok, I’ll get off my soap box and talk about some of my favorites that I bought for Gemma and Gea this holiday…

Toys

Christmas Tree Catnip Kicker

I recently discovered that my cats (yes, even Gemma who doesn’t really play with toys) absolutely LOVE catnip kicker toys. They’re basically a catnip-filled pillow and this one is just so cute and festive.

Cat Toy Variety Gift Box

I mean, it doesn’t get any cuter than this gift box. You get 14 cat toys and they come in all different shapes in an adorable Christmas theme.

Hannukah Catnip Teaser Wand

The plush pieces on this wand are Hanukkah-inspired and include a fish, bread, coins, dreidel, and menorah shapes – Gea loves it!

Treats

Greenie’s Holiday Variety Treats

Gemma doesn’t eat cat treats period (yes, I know this is very weird, lol), but Gea absolutely loves Greenie’s treats and I’ve been giving them to her for years. This holiday set is so cute and, just an FYI, the crunchy texture helps reduce tartar buildup and freshens breath. They’re vet-recommended!

Food

Hill’s Science Diet Savory Turkey Entrée

This has been their go-to wet food for years; they both love the taste and my vets (even when I lived in NYC) always recommend Hill’s Science Diet food.

Purina Pro Plan Hydra Care

About a year ago, Gemma’s blood work/urinalysis came back saying she was slightly dehydrated. Now, it’s important to note that cats are naturally bad at hydrating themselves, but dehydration can cause overall health issues as they get older, so I immediately dug around Chewy and found this supplement. The Hydra Care supplement contains nutritional osmolytes to help support the absorption of water at a cellular level and is designed to help cats increase their total liquid intake…but my cats (mostly Gemma) are super picky eaters, and I wasn’t sure how well it was going to go over. Well, let me tell you, they both absolutely LOVE THIS STUFF. Like meow-for-more obsessed.

Tell me in the comments below – I’d love to hear what you’re getting your cats/dogs for Christmas!
