When I first found out about hair primers I was all “wait, seriously? Another primer that I ‘have’ to use? Give me a break” but then I actually tried it…and yeah, it’s pretty awesome. The Nexxus Color Assure Pre-Wash Primer is a “pre-cleanse” treatment, which essentially just means that you put it on your hair before you shampoo. The product serves as a shield to protect your color by repelling water, it’s that simple.
You apply 1-2 drops into your palm, and smooth it onto hair before you shampoo. Begin and focus on the tips and massage up towards the roots. I was a little confused the first time I tried this but your hair should feel soft and silky, not saturated, once the product is applied. I’m into it.
