I’m Nominated for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Man & Woman of the Year!

two kids and an elderly for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Man & Woman of the Year!

First off – happy Monday.  My usual “Things Making Me Happy” series is taking a pause this week because I have a really fun announcement…

I am excited to announce that I am a candidate for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Man & Woman of the Year campaign, and today is the first day of fundraising! This is an honor that I do not take lightly; my goal is to raise $76,000 to support this important organization over the next 10 weeks.

I’m Nominated for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Man & Woman of the Year!

$76k in honor of my grandfather, Herman Casper, who died at age 76 from Lymphoma (that’s me, him, and my cousin Nicole at what was an insanely fun birthday party at Discovery Zone back in the day) 🙂

Moreover, I have been challenged to jumpstart my fundraising campaign by being the first candidate to receive 50 donations to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS).

If I do so, I will earn an extra $1,000 towards my campaign total! So I am (humbly) asking that you take action and support LLS today.

Why LLS?

Through this last year, as we all faced a global health crisis, LLS worked overtime to support patients, caregivers and families.  In 2020, alone:

  • LLS invested $186M in cancer research

  • 14/17 blood cancer treatment options that were approved by the FDA in 2020 were advances by LLS

  • LLS granted nearly $5M in Covid-19 relief to over 19,000 patients

  • In total, LLS provided $142M in financial assistance to patients

There are so many causes to give to right now, so please know that every dollar counts. Use my link below to read more about my campaign and to donate online quickly and securely.

Donations are 100% tax-deductible: https://pages.lls.org/mwoy/calso/los21/JamieStone

Each donation helps accelerate finding a cure for cancer, while supporting patients in need. Every three minutes someone is diagnosed with blood cancer, and I hope that my candidacy will help bring those affected by this monster of a disease hope and support. Every donation truly brings us one step closer to a cure, which means even more to me than winning this challenge, or the Of the Year title.

On behalf of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, thank you very much for any gift you can give.  I appreciate your generosity and, again, you can donate any amount HERE.

My best always,

Jamie
