My current night-time skin regimen

Because none of us are getting any younger here…

I switch up my skincare every few months now that I can say my skin is officially “under control.”  I might bite my tongue later for saying that, after struggling with cystic acne in my early 20s, but truth be told I’m at the point now where I CAN test out different products that have interesting ingredients and intrigue me with out the fear that I’ll break out or that my skin will go nuts on me. For the past four months I’ve been using the below products every night and I am not ashamed to admit that my skin has been on another level of awesome lately. #FeelingMyself/Myskin

RoC Retinol Correxion Sensitive Night Cream: I’ve been a big time RoC fan for years; their retinol products are superior (seriously), especially at their price. This version is for anyone with sensitive skin who was maybe a little scared to use retinol because of potential irritation, OR a “retinol beginner”/someone who just entered their mid 20s.  The milder formula still works well to unclog pores, boost collagen, reduce fine lines, and speed cell turnover but won’t make your skin get itchy, flaky or red like some retinol products do.  According to the brand’s clinical testing, 96% of women with previous sensitivity to retinoids experienced NO redness or irritation so you know this is the real deal anti-aging night cream for anyone who might be worried.

La Mer Moisturizing Cream: Heaven. Pure heaven in a jar.  The price tag is hefty, I’m not gonna lie, but I really do adore La Mer moisturizer- nothing else feels so luxe on my face. One note that I recently learned about La Mer: the moisturizer must be warmed for a few seconds between your fingers until it becomes translucent, then pressed gently into the skin…otherwise the cream can be a bit thick and hard to apply.

Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment: Avocado has been a long-time favorite food of mine and since it’s also really great for your skin I was instantly intrigued by this treatment.  This stuff gives you a burst of hydration to your eye area with a unique, concentrated texture that won’t migrate into your eyes. Love.

Nuxe Paris Anti-Aging Eye & Lip Contour Nuxuriance Ultra: This was my first time testing out Nuxe Paris and I was truly impressed with this eye and lip treatment.  Infused with saffron and other fab ingredients, the targeted treatment acts on wrinkles, slackening of the skin, dark spots, puffiness and dark circles.

Sustainable Youth Super Boost Night Serum: Another oldie but a goody, I’m still into this super-charged sleep serum that boosts skin’s natural nocturnal regenerating powers (e.g. us lazy girls love products that work while we sleep).  According to Sustainable Youth, at night your skin skin cell renewal and repair rates are slightly faster and more effective. Makes sense to me.
