The New Product That Will Straight Up Get Rid of Your Rosacea

I’ve talked about my mild rosacea many times over the years but, for those of you who aren’t familiar (or one of the 16 million Americans who currently have it), rosacea is a skin condition that causes redness or flushing of the face and, in some cases, bumps, pimples and skin thickening. Over the years I’ve managed to mostly hide my redness via foundation and tinted moisturizer…but that doesn’t mean that I don’t think twice before going outside barefaced. And it kinda sucks, to be honest…

There was one time, in particular, where I was swimming at a friend’s pool. One friend was all “oh no! your cheeks are getting sunburned!” I’m all “yeah…no. That’s just my rosacea. I’m wearing SPF 50.” Or, most recently, back in February I was shooting this blog post about a sheet mask. I was shocked when I got the photos back from my photographer. I wasn’t wearing any makeup. So, I was actually applying the sheet mask to my face for the photos and, boy oh boy, my face does look red.

The “before” shot

That said, I try not to dwell on it too much since I know I have a very mild case, Subtype 1 to be exact, but when I found out that a new product recently hit the market that is clinically proven to improve the symptoms of rosacea in about six weeks I was obviously dying to test it out.

The challenge:

While rosacea is a common condition, it’s typically tough to treat. It causes a number of different symptoms. Many of which are addressed separately. According to a recent NRS survey, nearly 80% of rosacea patients claim to use more than one medication to manage their condition. And, let’s be honest, is pretty annoying to do.

  1. Hi Jamie –

I am considering trying the Rozatrol for my rosacea. It was recommended by a cosmetician. I stumbled across your post and wanted to know if you still truly like the product or see results. I am always a bit hesitant when I notice that the review was sponsored by the company selling the product.

    Your feedback is appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Brad

  2. I was wondering how you used the product. Did you use it daily? Once a day or twice? Did it initially irritate your skin? If so how long till it felt better? I have purchased this and it really made my face tight dry and very tender, more than the rosacea itself. Doctors says use at night couple times a week vs the initial instructions of nightly. Not sure i want to move forward, face hurtsand is redder than before😩
