OBSESSED: OPI “A good man-darin is hard to find”

So I recently tried out some of the amazing shades from OPI’s Hong Kong collection and I am obsessed.  I don’t know why but whenever I wear any kind of coraly/orange shade on my nails, I get tons of compliments!  I’ve been using a few different corals but this one definitely takes the cake and, I especially love the name – “a good MAN-darin is hard to find.”   Adorbale.  The whole collection is absolutely gorgeous but I seriously can’t stop staring at my nails right now so I’ve gotta stop typing.

Check out Temptalia.com for full, amazing swatches of the Hong Kong collection…Christine is brilliant.

Splurge vs. Steal: makeup removing wipes

So I’m really lazy most of the time and I definitely dread taking off my makeup before going to sleep at night.  Ah, to be 16 again when I didn’t even wash my face!  I recently tried out two new versions that I never tried out before – Biore Makeup Removing Towelettes with Green Tea and Rodial Glam Balm Wipes.  Both definitely did the trick and have their own pluses.  The verdict?

Biore bonus points for:

  • Being infused with the purifying power of green tea
  • Towelettes are made from 100% renewable resources
  • Dermatologist tested, hypo-allergenic, non-comedogenic, opthalmologist tested and alochol-free
  • The bargain price of around $7

Rodial bonus points for:

  • Being infused with skin-calming chamomile extract Vitamin B and Vitamin E
  • Each towelette is made from super soft cotton and feels like velvet
  • Great for delicate skin
  • Paraben-free
  • They just look…so glamorous

Elizabeth Grant Ultimate Cellular Concentrate

So I’m absolutely a fan of La Prairie but spending $375 on one product is just not anywhere near my budget.  When I heard about Elizabeth Grant’s Ultimate Cellular Concentrate and how it’s being touted as a new celebrity favorite, I was intrigued to try it out.  The verdict?  Amazing.  This clinically tested formula uses an intensive concentration of plant stem cells to help delay the appearance of aging by protection and repairing epidermal skin cells, as well as slowing the rate at which surface skin cells deteriorate.  I absolutely think that anyone concerned with aging should try this out and, while you’re at it, follow them on Twitter too.

Jane Krakowski and Jergens Skincare want you to Get In-The-Glow‏!

So skin cancer awareness is something very close to my heart.  Most people don’t know this but my closest Aunt passed away of skin cancer in 1996…at the young age of 43.  Ever since then, I’ve been on the sunscreen crusade.  When I got a press release from Jergens that announced their latest partnership with The Skin Cancer Foundation, I was elated…and as an added bonus, they’ve partnered with one of my faves- Jane Krakowski, who some people say is my doppelganger.

Jane teamed up with Jergens to do a video where she divulges how she gets beautiful, natural-looking color with Jergens natural glow moisturizers and is encouraging everyone who views her message to pass it on to someone who needs to get “in the glow” the smart, safe way.

Make sure to pass this on to EVERYONE you know…

Each time the VIDEO is viewed from now until August 31st, Jergens will make $1 donation (maximum donation of $20,000) to The Skincare Foundation.
