Since you DO have fine hair then 100% yes. I’ve been blow-drying upside down since middle school and I’d never go back to not doing it. For people who have thick hair this trick is counter productive (hello HUGE, unmanageable hair), but for us it’s key to getting as much volume as possible.
But why? Because moving your hair against the grain and against its natural direction of growth makes it look bigger, simply put. It also makes blow-drying long hair a LOT easier- I always have a hard time getting the back and this trick makes it easier to manage.
