Because I’ve been a long-time fan of Shiseido sunscreen and they just seriously upped their game…
Every summer I preach about how fab the Shiseido sunscreen line is (see here, here and here). Expensive, yes, but 100% worth it, so when I heard about their new Wetforce technology I was all “stop the presses”- this is amazing and I have to have it.
Specifically, I’m loving Shiseido Wetforce Ultimate Sun Protection Lotion Broad Spectrum SPF 50+ for Face/Body (yep, longest name ever) because, even with the new Wetforce technology, it still has the oil-like consistency and smells AWESOME.
So here’s the deal with Wetforce: basically it activates and protects your skin in an even more powerful way WHEN your skin is exposed to water for 15 minutes (or sweat for 30 minutes). Yep, it’s that simple. I used to constantly be nervous about having to re-apply after going in the ocean or pool but with Wetforce getting wet is actually a benefit. FAB.
Now, that doesn’t mean that you DON’T have to re-apply every two hours like you would would normal sunscreen (you definitely do, but after you get out of the water and towel-dry your body and/or face). I just love the fact that you get an extra boost of protection when this formula comes in contact with water or sweat.
