Happy Monday, friends!
I don’t know about you but, personally, I’m looking forward to a slower-ish Thanksgiving work week.
Btw, the photo above of Alanis and me is from 2013 at a Kiehl’s event (thank you forever and ever, Rachael Kelley!) and it makes me happy every single time I look at it 🙂
Things Making Me Happy: 11.23.20
GUCCI: The Making Of
This book is just SO chic. I can’t. I bought this a few weeks ago to go underneath one of my bedroom nightstands and I honestly can’t even believe how magical it feels when you flip through the pages. If you love the history of fashion, you will LOVE this book. The cover alone looks amazing on any shelf and then you can dig through the book to get an in-depth look into Gucci’s origins, identity, influence, and innovation. Including fabrication methods and appropriation of signature materials, past and present. And its influence among high society and Hollywood.

Chateau Marmont Alessandra Candle
I’m still recovering from the fact that Chateau Marmont is no longer open to the public for dining and drinks. Honestly, it’s probably the worst closing I’ve experienced as a result of COVID. I have countless memories at Chateau. Some hilariously wild nights and, of course, some of my best celeb spottings! That said, when I saw that they launched merch on their website, presumably to make up some of the financial loss they’ve encountered since March, I HAD to get this super chic candle. The candle scent, Chateau Marmont’s signature fragrance of spicy night-blooming flowers with a hint of vanilla, was always burning throughout the hotel. So, naturally, the smell brings back allll the good times.
Rainbow cookies from Ferrara Bakery in New York
If you grew up anywhere near NYC then you KNOW about Ferrara Bakery and, even more infamous, their Italian rainbow cookies. Honestly, I look forward to eating these every time I visit New York, especially for the holidays. And so when I saw that you can now order them online (to ship anywhere in the US!), I was elated.
With secret recipes that span three centuries, this fifth generation family-owned bakery continues to handcraft Italian desserts from the same location in NYC’s Little Italy since 1892. Ferrara’s traditional rainbow cookies are made in-house daily from a secret recipe that Antonio Ferrara used when he opened the bakery. This technicolor cookie features layers of almond cake that are sandwiched with apricot jam and coated in chocolate. You will not be sorry with this purchase. They’re also such a great gift idea for anyone who can’t get home for the holidays due to COVID.

Jagged Little Pill Live in NYC: a Broadway Reunion Concert
I obviously couldn’t resist getting a virtual ticket to hear the cast of Jagged Little Pill on Broadway since all of Alanis’ biggest hits. The cast did a fundraiser concert awhile back for Joe Biden and it was just SO GOOD. I was singing along like it was 1996 all over again. And, most importantly, it brought a little joy to my week.
On Sunday, December 13 — for the first time in nearly 10 months — the Broadway cast of the 15-time Tony Award®-nominated Jagged Little Pill is reuniting for a live concert in New York City! Join Kathryn, Celia, Derek, Sean, Lauren, Elizabeth, Antonio and others, along with the Jagged Little Broadway Band, as they perform selections from the show.
Sequin x Pretty Connected Charm and Mask Chain Set
I am obsessed with my friend Lara’s collab with Sequin.
This evil eye charm is just soooo good and they also have three other charms available (night sky, elephant and pave moon) that you can mix and match.
