Because drugstores are still open and these products are AMAZING…
My drugstore favorite blog posts are always a hit, and given that drugstores and grocery stores are pretty much the only stores open right now I knew this would be #relevantcontent. Here are seven of my latest drugstore beauty favorites (they’re all still in the current rotation, btw).
GSQ by Glam Squad Volumizing Texture Spray: When CVS announced that they would be launching this hair line with Glam Squad I was very curious…and then when I was tested the texture spray, I was legit IMPRESSED. It rivals prestige versions and gives you that perfect messy hair look with oodles of volume. New favorite for sure.
Versed Keep It Simple Body Oil: The Versed skincare line gets a lot of buzz, and for good reason. I love a body oil and this version is non-sticky, non-greasy and absorbs super fast since it’s a dry oil. Just spritz and your skin is treated to a blend of sweet almond, macadamia nut, and coconut oils, with nourishing calendula flower extract and vitamin E. Oh and that subtle yet intoxicating aroma of white flowers comes from ylang ylang oil (my favorite). I love to apply this right after the shower while the skin is still a little damp.
Barefoot Scientist Inner Strength Nail & Cuticle Renewal Drops: Another HIT from Barefoot Scientist (and I’m not just saying that cause I’m friends with the co-founder). This nail and cuticle oil is formulated with a proprietary celery seed extract that’s clinically proven to promote nail strength, hydration and smoothness by supporting the keratin cells your nails depend on for growth.
It also has six (yes, SIX) different nail conditioning oils for the ultimate nail and cuticle hydration and it works to reverse daily nail damage, allowing your nails to drink in natural moisturizers and botanicals to prevent and repair chips and cracks. Your nails will be left naturally strong on the inside and beautifully smooth and shiny on the outside.
OGX Bodifying and Bamboo Fiber Full Dry Shampoo: Dry shampoos can be tricky; sometimes they leave that awful white residue (that you can even see on my blonde hair), but this one is my new ALL TIME FAVORITE. It’s blended with bamboo fibers and plant collagen and works to really boost up your volume and body, but all while also absorbing the oil in your roots. I don’t say this lightly – this dry shampoo is now in my top three favorites when it comes to all things dry shampoo.
Shea Moisture Manuka Honey & Yogurt Hydrate + Repair Protein Power Treatment: I read a review of this hair mask on another site and was totally sold. The deep conditioner is specifically formulated for damaged hair and manuka honey and yogurt work together in this deep conditioning masque to fortify weak strands, combat breakage and split ends.
Revlon Ultra HD High Shine Vinyl Lip Polish: We all know I don’t usually love a bright lip (at least not on me), but when I was sent these lip polishes I was very impressed. They’re high pigment, high shine and glide on CRAZY SMOOTH. Like legit butter. The next test for me would be all about dryness cause sometimes high pigment glosses make my lips feel like the desert after 15 minutes. This version DOES NOT. It’s formulated with vitamin E to keep your lips smooth and hydrated and has a creamy mango and whipped vanilla fragrance that I love.
Almay Biodegradable Micellar Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes: I’ve been pretty loyal to the Neutrogena Night Calming makeup wipes for years, but when I heard that Almay came out with a biodegradable version I wanted to test them out to see if an eco-friendly version could be just as good. The answer? Yes. They are REALLY GOOD, in fact.
Almay’s 100% Biodegradable Micellar Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes are made from plant-based fibers that have been sustainably sourced and infused with gentle micellar molecules. Those molecules release all the makeup, dirt, and oil from your skin with the most delicate touch, no matter your skin type (they’re good for even the most sensitive skin). Guys, I found a new favorite.
