3 of My Favorite Face Masks

Because face masking is a luxury we all need in our life…

When is it a good time to face mask?  Always.  Always is the answer.  I basically try a new face mask every week at this point in my beauty blogger/writer career, and today I want to talk about the three I find myself constantly going back to.

What are your favorite face masks? I’d love to know! Comment below.

Btw, I highly recommend using one of these silicone face mask brushes to apply the face masks – It makes the whole experience even better 😉

3 of My Favorite Face Masks

Full disclosure- JAFRA is my client, but I’ve loved their Mud Mask for a long time.  After even one use, I swear your skin will feel baby soft and feel super hydrated.  Derived from Dead Sea minerals, this mud mask gently helps draw out impurities (using said Dead Sea mineral mud), and also conditions the skin with vitamins E and B5 to help restore suppleness.  It’s perfect for all skin types and truly just feels amazing when you have it on!

Another long-time favorite, I discovered this cold plunge pore mask during COVID quarantine and it (very) quickly became a skincare staple.  Not only is it super fun to wear this mask (it’s turquoise!), but – I swear – my pores are legit GONE after using this mask.  The cooling factor also makes this mask ideal for the hotter summer months, too.  As someone with rosacea/sensitive skin, I have to be careful with clay masks but this version is great for all skin types and doesn’t cause me any redness or irritation at all.

Inspired by the “cold plunge” part of a Scandinavian sauna cycle (a real experience if you haven’t tried this, btw), this cooling clay mask detoxifies, controls oil, and reduces the look of pores.  The innovative formula harnesses the power of alpine willow herb and snow lotus—antioxidant-rich botanicals that have adapted to thrive in extreme cold—to soothe, mattify, and refine pores. Trust me – you need this face mask.

Kiehl’s is another brand that I’ve loved for years, and their avocado-based hydration mask is a new-ish favorite for me.  If you want super soft and smooth skin, THIS is your face mask.  The fragrance-free mask (great for anyone with any scent sensitivities!), inspired by freshly picked avocados, has a creamy rich texture that truly works to hydrate and replenish the skin. Formulated with avocado fruit extract, avocado oil, and evening primrose oil, this nourishing mask leaves skin feeling soft and supple while helping prevent water loss by sealing in moisture.

  1. Love this, Jamie! During the pandemic, I went from weekly masking to daily masking with different products. Made a HUGE difference in my fine lines and rosacea! Definitely going to try the Cold Plunge. Thanks!
