Gold Fever

I’ve had a serious accessory problem lately, so I wanted to share some of my latest finds– I’ve totally got gold fever. (clockwise)

House of Harlow 1960 Antiqued Pave Rose Gold Arrow Bracelet: At first glance, I didn’t think I’d like the arrow but it totally grew on me.  I love rose gold and this bracelet is great for girls with small wrists, since you bend the bracelet to fit.

Forever21 Tiered Brick Road Earrings: You would never have known these were from Forever21 if I didn’t tell you.  I love these.  And they’re super light, making them easy to wear.

Yochi Layered Statement Necklace: I’m way into statement necklaces lately and this version from Yochi is simple but modern and fun.

Barneys New York Partners with Lady Gaga to create GAGA’S WORKSHOP!

News flash – two of my favorite things, Lady Gaga and Barneys New York, have teamed up to create Barneys 2011 Holiday campaign, GAGA’S WORKSHOP!  The unique collaboration with Lady Gaga will bring  together the talent of several artists including Eli Sudbrack and Lady Gaga’s own Fashion Director, Nicola Formichetti.  For the first time ever, Barneys will convert an entire floor of its Madison Avenue flagship into a dedicated space for the holiday initiative, starting in mid-November.

What I’m super interested in will be the selection of small gift items that Gaga designed along with Nicola Formichetti where 25% of sales will be donated to a charity of Gaga’s choice – what a great holiday gift.  I seriously can’t wait to check this out when I go back to New York for Christmas this year.

This Week’s Online Shopping Haul

Once again, my wallet had a mind of it’s own.  Here’s what I bought this week and can not wait to receive!

Banana Republic The Mad Men Collection animal print cardigan: I obviously love leopard, when done right, but after reading all of the great blog coverage this new collection has been getting, I needed to won a piece for myself.

Old Navy Crochet Cross Front Wedges: I was reading one of my favorite blogs, SkinnyPurse.com, and came across a great “summer uniform” story that my friend Andrea wrote.  I’ve been looking for a new black wedge for awhile now and I’m thinking these are exactly what I’ve been looking for.

From Italy, With Love purse: You can seriously find the best things on Etsy.  I’m pretty obsessed with these little change purses – the artist uses real letters from Italy and prints them onto vintage sheets to make these. Obsessed.

Missoni for Target (because everyone else is doing it!)

Missoni for Target, it’s the hot topic of the week!  I’ll admit, I’m always intrigued by the Target diffusion lines but necessarily always impressed (at least not since my navy Anna Sui for Target dress of 2009).  BUT, this new Missoni for Target line…yeah, it looks pretty impressive.  I’m hearing friends whisper about how they’re lining up at 6 am at the West Hollywood location…but me?  I don’t know if I have that kind of dedication.  If I did, here’s what I’d snag (available September 13):

I don’t even live on the west side (e.g the area of LA where people actually ride beach cruisers) but I still, obviously, want this.

Obsession: Double Finger Rings

Ask any of my friends what my signature jewelry piece is and they would say my “Jamie” name ring.  I got TONS, and I mean TONS of compliments on the somewhat-ghetto ring that I bought myself a few years ago after seeing Lauren Conrad’s double name ring on an episode of “The Hills.”  But I’m honest, and I have no shame in my game so when people ask me where I got my awesome ring, I tell them “uhh, I just googled ‘Lauren Conrad double name ring’ and I found THIS random site.”  $99 for sterling silver and $255 for 14K gold…it ain’t a bad deal.  After my Jamie ring became one of my regular accessory staples, I started noticing double name rings everywhere and with some really fun designs and I guess I kind of started a collection, at this point.  Right now I’m loving these doozies. Two Point Oh LA’s 2nd Annual Picnic at Griffith Park

Moving to LA was hard for many reasons but I always say how much I especially miss my blogger friends.  About a year ago, I joined a great LA-based blogger organization called Two Point Oh LA and on Saturday, we celebrated our first birthday with the second annual Two Point Oh LA picnic in Los Angeles’ Griffith Park!

The weather was absolutely perfect and Kelsi, the group’s founder, did an AMAZING job setting up the girliest and most stylish picnic imaginable with some fantastic sponsors such as PopChips, SoleSociety, LATHER and Pop Beauty with gift bag items in the “Gifting Tent” from some of my faves like Bare Escentuals, Redken, NYX Cosmetics and a gigantic chocolate chip cookie from Neiman Marcus(!).

My girl Kristen even had her own “crafternoon” section where she DIY’d tote bags courtesy of SoleSociety.  Love.

Just some of the amazing desserts (cake baked by Kelsi!)
