January Makeup Favorites

Because I’m very picky about my makeup and these are my latest favorites…

January Makeup Favorites

Everyone knows I’m definitely skincare-obsessed but, that said, I actually think it means a LOT when I DO blog about makeup products because that means that I think they’re really fantastic.  And it take a lot to impress me, guys.  Here are a few of my latest makeup favorites…

Have you tried any of these products yet? Comment below and let me know.

Benefit High Beam Liquid Face Highlighter:

This product isn’t new by any means but I only recently started using this liquid highlighter and I absolutely love it.  It’s a satiny-pink color that really gives you the perfect subtle glow/dewy face.  Dot and blend high beam where light would naturally hit your face (the cheekbones, brow bones, down your nose, and on your cupid’s bow, etc.) for a Kardashian-level highlight experience.

Kris Jenner x Kylie Cosmetics Pressed Powder Palette:

If you follow me on Instagram then you know I’m obsessed with Kris Jenner and, naturally, when she announced she was doing a collab with her youngest daughter I bought every product (i.e. the “bundle”) immediately.  I’m not usually a pressed powder girl but this palette, in particular, features two silky-smooth highlighter shades (one pearlized blush and one matte blush) and they’re light enough where I don’t feel like a clown if I wear these shades.  I also really love the packaging with the “You’re doing amazing sweetie!” embossed in black glitter. The names are also hilarious if you’re a Kardashian fan; let’s talk about “You’re sister’s going to jail,” which is a soft nectarine blush shade. Dying.

Sonia Kashuk Marble Makeup Blender Sponges:

I originally bought these marble makeup sponges to use a photo prop (#bloggerlife) but they actually also work really well, and at a Target price!  The $15 kit gives you two full-size marble makeup sponges (so CHIC) and three mini blenders.  Blend on your foundation with one of the two full-size blending sponges. Conceal under-eye circles and blemishes with one of the mini sponges. Or, use a small blender sponge to dab on and blend out cream blush or bronzer with precision.

Rodial Medium Coverage Skin Tint SPF 20:

I love a good makeup tint and this version from Rodial is packed with SPF and amino-peptides to brighten and enhance your skin tone. You can wear it on its own for medium coverage or as a base for heavier makeup! The finish is super natural and I love how dewy my face looks when I wear this tinted moisturizer.

Jouer Cosmetics Essential High Coverage Liquid Concealer:

First thing’s first- this concealer is serious business. So if you’re looking for a heavy-duty concealer that will smooth imperfections, this is it.  It comes in 25 shades and gives you full coverage with hyaluronic acid and resveratrol (both key ingredients for hydration and anti-aging).  It’s also formulated with anise fruit extract and vitamin E to help keep skin glowing and looking refreshed all day long. LOVE, love, love this concealer and it’s a new makeup bag staple.

Urban Decay Lo-Fi Lip Mousse:

Urban Decay Lo-Fi Lip Mousse:

This weightless and buildable lip color is definitely one of the best beauty products of 2018, in my opinion.  It’s waterproof and has a velvety-soft finish…but the best part is that it feels like you’re not even wearing any lip color (i.e. your lips won’t dry out).  Loaded with pigment, Lo-Fi’s budge-proof, buildable formula lets you control the color and keep it where you want—from sheer to full coverage.
