Best of 2016
I think we can pretty much all agree that 2016 was definitely a big bag of sh*t, right? Well, for me, in particular, it was actually the hardest year of my life. I lost my little sister in April of this year. April 20th, to be exact. The same day that Prince died, and essentially from the same cause. Melissa was 29 and it was very sudden. I plan on talking more about everything at some point, but right now it’s still a little too raw for me and I want to really think about a meaningful way to bring honor to her memory.
I almost didn’t do this post because, initially, I thought “what happened this year that I’m even proud of?”

It’s not surprising that the most influential stylist in the world (seriously, ask The New York Times) launched her own hair care line, but it is surprising (at least to me) that after using her products in my hair, my blow out lasted THREE FULL DAYS. Guys, that NEVER happens for me (see blow out photo after the jump). Aside from the amazing scent of OUAI products, I am now officially obsessed with the quality and how well they work. Naturally, I had to ask Jen three questions…ok, FOUR in this case, cause she’s awesome, and here’s what the stylist to the stars has to say.

What I want to know is, how did she (Gwen) get her eyebrows back? I mean – I tweezed mine at the age of 14 to copy her pencil-thin eyebrows and I haven’t tweezed, waxed or threaded since then and they barely grow! Gwen! WTF.

For starters, I’m obsessed with my holiday card this year. I don’t usually even DO a holiday card but, for some reason, I decided this year would be the year to do a fun one. I’m heading to New York in a few days to see my family for Christmas and I can’t wait to spend time with them, especially my 6-year old nephew Mark, and also get in some good New York time as well.
