So we all know I’m a big advocate of SPF. I’m the friend who brings 14 bottles of sunblock on vacation and yells at you if you even mention the phrase “tanning salon.” This month, thanks to companies like Olay, you can get a FREE skin cancer screening from a top dermatologist near you. It’s super simple. Simply check out Olay’s Web site and find a participating derm. As someone who lost my favorite Aunt to Melanoma (at age 43), this cause has an important spot in my heart. My personal favorite SPF product of the moment is the Neutrogena Fresh Cooling Body Mist SPF 70. When I was in Vegas, it was so effing hot and I happened to be with my best friend who thinks she “never” has to wear SPF thanks to her Greek/Italian heritage. WRONG. It was so hot that even she decided to use this SPF spray since it has cooling properties…totally a good trick to get those friends and kids to use SPF!
So I’m just a little freaked out by this whole Swine Flu thing. After seeing the way an ordinary cold spreads through a small NYC office, I just have this aching feeling that at least one person I know will somehow contract this thing, lol. After watching this interview with Dr. Oz, I feel a little better at least knowing that ordinary products like Purell (a personal favorite) and anti-bacterial hand soap can help prevent the spread. I’ve been carrying around a mini bottle in my purse for years for those long subway rides and when I’ve seen someone sneeze and then grab onto the hand rail. Yum. Anyway, I have a favorite hand soap that I’ve been using for awhile…Nature’s Gate Organics Neroli Orange & Chocolate Mint Liquid Soap. I love the smell and it’s super moisturizing.
So I nearly exploded with excitement when I saw this new fashion editorial from WhoWhatWear.com. How completely and utterly brilliant- a recreation of 90s fashion…and not just any 90s fashion, 90210 fashion.
Also, is anyone a little creeped out by how similar this “Brenda” actually looks like Shannen Doherty? Just sayin…
So my friend Mia recently launched this adorable headband line called Belle Bandeau! The line is inspired by fabulous things and Mia’s background as a ballerina. The headband on the left is called “Jamie”…I wonder after who? 😉 The little leopard flower is just enough leopard where it’s not overwhelming or tacky…LOVE.
