Happy Monday and OH it is a JOYOUS one, isn’t it?
Waking up Saturday to the news that Joe Biden won the election made what could be classified as the shittiest year ever, a LOT better. This week’s list of things making me happy reflects just that and I hope your week is off to a great start filled with lots of HOPE.
Things Making Me Happy: 11.9.20
Operation Christmas Drop on Netflix
I’m not normally someone who watches cheesy Christmas movies in early November, but here we are! Operation Christmas Drop is just the right amount of cheese and, what I didn’t know until after the fact, is that the movie is actually based off a decades-old Air Force tradition. Last year alone, the Air Force delivered 176 bundles of school supplies, rice, clothing, fishing materials, toys, and more to over 20,000 people, covering 1.8 million square nautical miles. It’s just sweet and cheery, and I’m HERE for this Netflix movie.
Bath & Body Works Fresh Balsam candle
Speaking of holiday cheer, Fresh Balsam is hands-down one of my favorite BBW candle scents; I mean it smells literally exactly like a Christmas tree and just honestly makes me feel cozy and warm. I lit this baby up on Saturday )after Biden was announced the winner), and it just made the day feel even more joyous.
KENDALL + KYLIE x Amazon The Drop Matching Set
I lovvvve this new matching sweats set I got from Amazon’s The Drop; The top has this super cool lace up and the fabric is really soft and comfortable. In fact, I wasn’t sure if I was going to like this set. And I wouldn’t necessarily say the price is a bargain, but I’m SO happy I grabbed these up. The jogger pants are my new go-to for running a quick errand or even just lounging around my apartment, per usual.
True Comfort by Kristin Cavallari
I’ve been working my way through Kristin Cavallari’s new book, True Comfort, and I am so OBSESSED. The recipes are all free of gluten and refined sugar, not to mention absolutely delicious. I especially love all the Italian dishes (Kristin is also Italian) that use healthy substitutes like brown rice pasta or vegan cheese, etc. It’s just all so good and I can’t wait to try more of her recipes!
Enlightened Dough Bites
I bought this variety pack a few weeks ago just to try out these new healthy cookie dough bites and OMG they are next-level amazing. Now, let’s be clear, a lot of the “healthy” edible cookie dough isn’t very healthy at all. But these are low calorie (90-110 calories per serving and each serving is 24 bites!), keto-friendly, gluten-free, and certified delicious. My favorites: chocolate chip and birthday cake 🙂
