What’s In My Makeup Bag (October Edition)

What's In My Makeup Bag

What’s In My Makeup Bag

Because I test a ton of makeup every month but this is what’s currently in my makeup bag…

What's In My Makeup Bag

It Cosmetics CC+ Oil-Free Matte foundation SPF 40:

I’ve been loyal to IT’s CC cream for a long time now (seriously, it’s SO good) and the matte version is no exception.  I don’t actually typically like matte foundation (a nice dewy finish is for me), but this matte version isn’t too matte, if you know what I mean. And it’s got SPF 40 protection and a 12-hour lasting time for its matte-ness (i.e. reducing shine and controlling facial oil).  It’s also infused with charcoal to detoxify, colloidal clay to absorb oil, and tea tree extract to combat blemishes—plus, an advanced anti-aging serum made of hydrolyzed collagen, peptides, niacin, hyaluronic acid, vitamins, and antioxidants. It’s pretty much makeup on steroids and I can’t get enough of it.

Jafra Royal Jelly Radiance Foundation SPF 20:

I recently tested Jafra’s Royal Jelly foundation (in Bare) and was amazed how much I liked it!  The finish is velvety and glides on smooth…plus it does an amazing job at hiding any redness or blemishes, with out making me feel like I have 10 lbs. of makeup on my face.

Wander Beauty Catch The Light Highlighter and Glowtion Duo:

I’m very invested in any highlighter that multi-tasks. This one has a beautiful champagne-pearl finish that honestly does “catch the light.”  This illuminator, in particular, comes equipped with both a liquid and stick formula so you can choose how you glow…and who doesn’t like options, right? I love wearing it under makeup for a dewy finish or alone as a highlighter. You can also mix it with your favorite foundation for an extra glow. Looove.

What's In My Makeup Bag

Lancome Hynose Drama Instant Full Body Volume mascara:

If you know me then you know I love a big, fat, juicy mascara brush.  I know it’s not for everyone but if you’re with me on HUGE brushes and even bigger lashes, you will die for this mascara.  With its creamy, gliding formula and deep, intense color, this volumizing mascara creates instant lash drama in a single coat—without clumping or flaking.

LORAC Pocket Pro 2 eye palette

LORAC Pocket Pro 2 eye palette:

If someone were to ask me what one product I wear that everyone asks me about, it is THIS palette.  Not gonna lie, I’ve had it for a few years maybe and only recently unearthed it…but once I did the comments didn’t stop rolling in.  I’ve been wearing literally just one loose sweep of the “Rose” shade on my lids and people legit stop me in my tracks to ask what brand makes my eyeshadow.

Aside from loving the highly-pigmented Rose shade, I love that this palette is super travel-friendly and you can truly wear it day or night.

Kris Jenner x Kylie Cosmetics Give Me a Kiss lipstick

Kris Jenner x Kylie Cosmetics Give Me a Kiss lipstick:

As an official member of the Kris Jenner fan club (not really but really) I was obvs very into Kris Jenner’s limited-edition Kris Kollection for Kylie Cosmetics.  Her Give Me a Kiss lipstick is smooth and creamy, but also full coverage for an ultra-pigmented lip.  Plus the packaging, right? So good.

bareMinerals BarePro 16-Hour Full Coverage Concealer

bareMinerals BarePro 16-Hour Full Coverage Concealer:

I don’t typically wear much concealer unless I have a blemish but I recently tested this concealer around my nose (I was having major redness for a few weeks) and it is seriously awesome. Full coverage, crease-proof, and waterproof…plus it’s super creamy and glides on with zero drag.  It’s formulated with bamboo stem extract to smooth the look of pores and fine lines. Powerful, antioxidant-rich raspberry seed oil, blackcurrant seed oil, and sea lavender nourish, hydrate, and help defend skin against the damaging effects of environmental stressors such as pollution.

It Cosmetics Brow Power Universal Eyebrow Pencil

It Cosmetics Brow Power Universal Eyebrow Pencil:

Truth be told, I have pretty good eyebrows. As in I’ve literally never had them threaded, shaped or even touched by a professional. I get like three stray hairs that I just tweeze myself. And, yes, I know how lucky I am (don’t worry I’ve got plenty of other issues, ha).  That said, since big, dark brows are VERY in right now I recently started filling mine in a bit; just a quick two drags on each side, but that’s actually why I really love this universal pencil. No fuss, no muss.  The oval shaped tip is perfect for both thin and thick brows and since it’s universal you don’t have to even pretend to know your eyebrow color match.

The brand also infused a blend of brow-conditioning ingredients (green tea, biotin, lecithin, vitamins A, C, E, grapeseed, etc.) for extra goodness. And, as a bonus, for every pencil sold, IT Cosmetics donates one pencil to Look Good Feel Better to help women face the appearance-related side effects of cancer with confidence.  How wonderful is that?!

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Perversion

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Perversion:

This gel eyeliner has been my go-to for years and I’m still very into it.  The creamy pencil gives me a dark pigment on my waterline and truly doesn’t budge. (Unless you get really sweaty or it’s legit raining on your face – I’m the official guinea pig for this, haha). The pencil comes in a ton of fun colors if you want to experiment a bit and go a little wilder than black. Though I DO love Perversion (the blackest black eyeliner ever).
