Because Breast Cancer Awareness month is here and these are the BEST things you can/should buy…
As a woman it would be hard not to acknowledge the vital importance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Honestly, I received probably 200 email pitches from various brands and PR agencies boasting their BCA products. Some of which didn’t really seem to be doing much to actually help any BCA causes, you know? It’s frustrating when brands try to piggy back off a cause to try to profit and get press but, that said, these eight products are all fantastic and the brands ARE actually donating a good chunk of change to fight the disease.
Noted winery Tayson Pierce Estate Wines is donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of their Rosé wine and Champagne Éric Philippe to The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. The winery is paying homage to the color pink that signifies the theme of the month by offering their Rosé vintages.
The Grand Cru Brut Rosé is a delicate balance of Pinot Noir and chardonnay with maceration on the skins for 52 hours brining out its elegant salmon color. The careful sorting of these prestigious grapes and the delicate maceration process reveals their rich color and brilliant flavors. This wine is exclusively a Grand Cru Champagne made with grapes from our Grand Cru vineyard in Bouzy, which was one of the original five Grand Cru villages established in 1927.
We all know that La Mer is an expensive splurge. So I say, now is the time to try it considering the brand is donating 20% of the purchase price to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. This serum is silky and feels oh-so-amazing on your skin. Remind yourself that from now until June 30, 2020, the brand is donating a good chunk of money. Up to $53,000! You’re welcome.
I’m so not a pink girl when it comes to jewelry (or clothes, for that matter) but this pink quartz necklace is honestly just stunning. 100% of the profits of this necklace will benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
If you read my blog/follow me on the IG, then you KNOW I’m a big-time Baby Foot fan. If you want to read more/see photos (!) of the results of this insane foot peel product then click over to my old blog post HERE…
Through the month of October, 20% of proceeds from the box’s sale will go to the American Cancer Society.
It’s a common fact that GHD makes some of the best flat irons in the industry. Period. Facts. And I’m just simply in love with the partnership; the brand partnered with tattoo artist David Allen, known for making art out of mastectomy scars, for its limited-edition pink collection, which also celebrates the brand’s 15th year supporting breast cancer charities. The Platinum+ and Gold Flat Irons have been redecorated for the month of October to resemble those powerful tattoo designs from David Allen.
For every purchase, $10 goes directly to Living Beyond Breast Cancer. An organization that focuses on helping women rebuild their lives post-treatment with resources, funds, and guidance.
Let’s start by saying that this gel-cream moisurizer is one AMAZING moisturizer. Now that that fact is out of the way, they also have some insanely impressive clinical studies: it’s proven to reduce the appearance of wrinkles in 14 days! Yep, it’s true. I tried the non BCA version awhile back and am now just remembering how much I loved it. Aside from just being an awesome product, Elemis is donating $25K (regardless of sales) to The Pink Agenda. It’s a non-for-profit organization raising money and awareness for breast cancer care and research.
Hygge (pronounced HOO-GAH) is something you already know; it’s defined as “coziness of the soul” and “taking pleasure from the soothing, ordinary, and inexpensive things in life,” so think: sitting by a fireplace under a blanket and eating warm cookies. Heaven, pretty much. The Danish, who invented the word, are considered to be the happiest people on the planet so I feel like they must be on to something here…
Here’s how I like to #Hygge:
1-) Invest in a blanket that makes you feel cozy. 🛌
I’ll be the first to admit that I’m slightly embarrassed that I spent this much money on a blanket, but after seeing it 10,000 times on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, I was officially sold and I have zero regrets about it. It truly is the softest, coziest blanket that I’ve ever owned and the cats are obsessed with it, too. Texture is a big part of hygge so definitely surround yourself with fluffy pillows, soft clothing, etc.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2-) Cuddle up under that blanket with a good book. 📚
I’m a big reader though, admittedly, lately podcasts have been taking over! That said, I do enjoy reading a good book and “Peppermint Twist” is especially meaningful because it involves my family and the book even mentions my grandmother a few times.
3-) Light a candle that smells amazing. 🕯
If you follow me here on IG then you know I’m v. into BBW candles. Right now I’m burning @bathandbodyworks Marshmallow Fireside and the scent is just SO good. Candles are great to hygge if you don’t have a fireplace in your home.
4-) Take a detox bath 🛀.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Honestly, I’m not a huge bath person. I love the idea of them but I typically get bored/restless about five minutes after getting in the bath, ha.... but when I DO set my intention to really relax, a nice detox bath can be really refreshing. I also just find my bathroom relaxing in general (even with all the beauty products, haha). Recently I’ve been using @thelordjones CBD Bath Salts and I love it.
How do you hygge? 🧘🏼♀️ (P.S. linking everything I mentioned in my Stories).
