So now that it’s winter, I’ve been noticing a lot of girls wearing summer-type dresses with black tights. I used to cringe at even the thought of wearing tights- even though I LIVED in them when I was little kid. Last week, I saw a very trendy beauty editor wearing a black baby doll dress, black tights and patent leather wedges and she looked AMAZING. Like straight off the runway…BUT she also probably weighs 115lbs. at like 5’8. So yeah…to wear tights or not to wear tights…that is the question. Here you have three very different celebs with very different body types all wearing the same dress but styled in three trendy variations. Lindsay Lohan, doing the pale, bare legged bootie look (I’m still convinced my legs would look like tree stumps in these shoes), Sienna Miller does the beauty editor look of black tights and shiny shoes (my pick for fave), and Nicky Hilton goes for the classically trendy bare (tanned) legs and pointy heels.

So Veronica Mars is just about the coolest chick on TV since Buffy the Vampire Slayer, in my humble opinion. I watched episodes off and on for the first 2 seasons and am now fully-blown obsessed. I actually bought Season 2 on DVD (which is pretty stupid considering I have a free 4-month Netflix subscription-gotta love PR). Anyway, the season premiere is on TUESDAY at 9pm on the CW or whatever that new station is that used to be UPN. I don’t care what the channels call themselves…just stop confusing me and don’t cancel my shows. That is all.

So I totally love Nicole Richie. I’m not afraid to admit it. I mean, I DO think the girl could stand to eat a few bowls of pasta but I love her straight to the point, balls to the wall, humor. Regardless of what you think of her…the girl’s got some good hair. I lust after this color and cut and can never quite achieve it. Perhaps it is extensions…perhaps it’s her real hair? Either way…she gets my vote for best hair of the year.

So I’m not really a Louis Vuitton advocator…I’m definitely a CHANEL and Gucci girl, but I’m soooo in l-o-v-e with this new fall runway bag. I think it’s the fact it looks like tin foil…or maybe that it’s very Judy Jetson and I always wanted my hair to stick straight up like that? Either way, I’m sure it’s one of the completely un-attainable ones (meaning one of the bags that cost like $15,000) but I can’t help but to almost be tempted to make a trip down to Chinatown. Did I just say that????

WHEN will people learn that you can not wear a large necklace(s) when you have a V-neck or detailed neck line???? This is such a pet-peeve for me, honestly. I’m constantly vetoing my roommate’s choices for accessorizing and now this? Does Sandra not have a stylist? And if she does have a stylist, does she not have 20/20 vision?!

I am officially the worst blogger ever. So sorry for the lack of posts- I wasn’t aware of my loyal fanbase! Anyway, I promise that I’ll update more often! So a few Saturdays ago I ended up not doing anything. Sometimes this is by choice and sometimes it’s because my friends all have boyfriends and they get into “couple mode.” It’s then that I start feeling sorry for myself and the 1/4 life crisis kicks in. It was a really nice night and when I mope I usually tend to just stay in my apartment on the Upper East side but tonight, however, I decided I was going to at least walk around for a little. As I walked toward 3rd avenue, I saw only COUPLES. Couples everywhere. It was horrific and definitely didn’t help my mood at all. I made a bee-line into the 24 hour Duane Reade and immediately ran into the makeup section. I had been meaning to try Cover Girl’s new Lash Exact mascara (after Jean Godfrey-June raved about it in Lucky). So I bought the mascara, a 6-pack of Poland Spring and some cat food…truly making me pathetic.

note: the mascara DID cheer me up when I got home…it really is fantastic and the tube is very luxurious looking.
