The One Thing You Can’t Forget When You Travel

Because sun protection is always VIP, but especially when you’re somewhere tropical…

Neutrogena infamously makes some of the best sunscreen I’ve ever tried (seen recently here). So naturally, when I was packing all of the beauty products for my trip to Thailand, I knew I was going to bring my two favorite Neutrogena sunscreen products.

Neutrogena HydroBoost

I LOVE the Neutrogena HydroBoost line.

It’s super hydrating and honestly just feels GOOD when you apply it (face and/or body). I use Neutrogena HydroBoost Water Gel Lotion SPF 50 on my body pretty much any time my body is going to see any sun; the beach, the pool, a dress that actually shows my legs, etc.

Here’s why I love it…

UVA/UVB dual protection, obvs. I actually don’t even know if there are any sunscreens that aren’t broad-spectrum but make sure you always see BOTH LISTED. VIP.  It has a water-light feel and, true story, whenever someone DMs me or I hear “I hate wearing sunscreen because it’s so heavy and greasy,” I always recommend this specific SPF. It’s the opposite of both of those things and truly feels like you’re applying some fancy AF lotion on your bod.

It will also hydrate your skin for eight hours. Now, this doesn’t mean that you don’t need to reapply every two hours (you do), but as far as hydration goes, you are covered.

Now, let’s talk about the face.

When it comes to my face (aka my money maker) I do NOT f*ck around, so I’m all about Neutrogena’s Ultra-Sheer Dry Touch SPF 100. It sounds dramatic to wear SPF 100, I get it, but the higher the SPF the more protection (i.e. “insurance”) you have that you’re being covered because most people don’t apply the correct amount of sunscreen. Yep, #facts. Most people apply like a dime-size amount and think “oh, I’m good” but you are NOT.  So when you use a higher SPF you get a little more of an insurance policy on your application and, now that I’m 36, I am ALL ABOUT a back up plan. So adult, right?

The Ultra Sheer line is a best-seller and for good reason. It goes on easily and absorbs quickly!  Formulated with Neutrogena’s patented Helioplex Technology, it offers superior broad spectrum protection from aging UVA rays and burning UVB rays.

Look at this pretty shade of light blue! It’s SO hydrating guys, no joke.
